Conditioning

2 1-2 cycle
1
This is a full court conditioning drill. It is run for 10 minutes, with the goal being 195 points (once the season practice has been on for awhile). Each set, one player must take a three point shot. All other players in the set must take a layup. If all five players make their baskets, a bonus of three points is given. To start (5) bounces the ball off the backboard and passes to (1). (2), (3) and (4) run down the floor on a fast break. (1) dribbles down the court and takes a 3 point shot. (5) follows for the rebound. If (1) makes the shot, (5) takes the ball out of bounds.

3
(2) and (3) will cross under the basket and run to the other end. (4) will run back to the other end, while (5) rebounds the ball and passes to (1)

(5) will pass the ball to (1) and run the court (2), (3), and (4) will run to the other end of the floor

11
(1) will pass ahead to (5) for a layup. (5) will clear the floor after the layup. (1) will clear the floor at the mid-court line. (2) and (3) will run the floor and then clear the floor. (4) will run the floor and clear the floor. As soon as the first group crosses the mid-court line on its last cycle ((5) shooting the layup), the next group will start its 2 1/2 cycle. The second group is shown ready to start and are the numbers in the triangles. The groups continue to rotate until 10 minutes are up. If there are more than 10 players, rotate in the extra players throughout the 10 minutes. We always tried to keep the starting 5 in for all rotations without substitution. This was partly due to the fact we didn't have much depth.
