ABOUT US
In the past 5 years charity games have been organised in Daventry, Northants. Northampton Town FC and Dublin. Organsied to promote local and national charities, and local causes. These games have primarily been organised by Terry O'Neill, who has driven each event with a team made up of family, friends and volunteers. Football FC was founded in 2012 and draws on the experiences of the past to improve and become a major player in promoting charities, whether local or national. Local causes are also helped by raising money for family's with financial problems with hospital fee's or distance commuting to see or support loved one's in hospital. In the past we have aided 25 different charities and causes, raising 110,000 in the process. In 2014 we have applied to become a registered charity. Ensuring greater transparency and more fundraising opportunities.

PAST EVENTS
The following gives a list of all the games we have done
from 2008 until 2013. We have also been involved in a few other events where we have been asked to help out.

2008 - VILLA OLD STARS v Daventry AVFC Vets

Villa stars on show, Nigel Spink, Darren Bradley, Neil Rioch, Garry Parker, Mark Kinsella, Gordon Cowans, Colin Gibson and Darryl Roberts. They were managed by Chris Nicholl. We raised 17000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

2010 VILLA OLD STARS v Daventry AVFC Vets

Villa Stars on show, Steve Staunton, Mark Kinsella, Martin Carruthers, Dave Norton, plus others. the day was made up of a sports day at Daventry Sports Park, and the game at Daventry Town FC. 26,000 was made for 12 local charities.

2011 LIVERPOOL LEGENDS v DAVENTRY REDS XI

Liverppol stars on show were, Phil Neal, Alan Kennedy, Mark Wright, Phil Babb, Michael Thomas, Mark Walters, Paul Walsh, Jason McAteer, Bob Boulder, Paul Durnin and Rob Jones. We had our biggest crowd of 1562 attend at Daventry Town and we raised around 20,000 for charities, including Liverpool based Hillsborough charities.

2012 UNITED LEGENDS v DAVENTRY REDS XI

United Legends were comprised of, Lee Martin, Peter Davenport, Ray Wilkins, Sammy McIlroy, Frank Stapleton, Dennis Irwin, Arthur Albiston, Deiniol Graham, Fraser Digby, Mike Duxbury and Andy Ritchie, We raised 26,000 for charity that day.

2012 - IRELAND LEGENDS v IRELAND SUPPORTERS XI in Dublin

Ireland legends were comprised of

Packy Bonner, Terry Phelan, Kevin Kilbane, Mark Kinsella, Lee Carsely, Alan Moore, David Kelly, Paul McGrath, Gareth Farrelly, Jason McAteer and Jeff Kenna. Raising over 4000 euro for local irish charities.

2013 - ONCE UPON A SMILE charity Team v Daventry ANTI SOAP XI, Stars of stage and screen came to Daventry to play in a different type of game. The games was seen as a success and over 7,000 was raised for charity.

2013 TOTTENHAM LEGENDS v NORTHANTS SPURS XI, Played at Northampton Town FC Spurs legends team comprised of, Ossie Ardiles, Ricky Villa, Paul Moran, Graham Roberts, Micky Hazard, Steve Sedgeley, Martin Chivers, David Howells, Paul Allen, Steve Hodge and Dean Austin. Over 4500 raised for charities.

2013 LIVERPOOL LEGENDS v DAVENTRY REDS XI, Liverpool Legends comprised of Alan Kennedy, Howard Gayle, Gary Gillespie, John Wark, Ronnie Whelan, Jason McAteer, Paul Walsh, Don Hutchison, John Durnin, Michael Thomas. 2013 - CELEB FC v DAVENTRY HEART THROB XI Again an attempt to come away from the normal Legends game. The event was a success and over 2000 was raised for the El Elliott fund.

2013 - VILLA LIONS AND LEGENDS v DAVENTRY VILLA XI Villa legends comprised of, Nigel Spink, Ken McNaught, Bryan Small, Ian Ward, Steve Staunton, Gordon Cowans, Ryan Amoo, Tony Morley, Pat Heard and John Capaldi. Final figure still to be determined to be handed over to Gary Barton Memorial Fund.

Football For Charity is registered with Company's house as a Charitable Company limited by Guarantee. As we go to press on this booklet, we are going for Charity status with the Charities Commision. By doing so it allows us more opportunites to raise money and promote charities and causes for the benefit of the community where a game is played. Our aims have always been to support local people, and we have done this successfully for several years. But we feel we can't achieve the amounts we want for the charities in the way we currently fundraise. So we are going for the status to make more for the people we aim to support.
