Mechatronics factory automation problem described above. Digitally controlled valve enables balls to Iall Irom a storage tank to an empty-bucket. When speciIied amount oI balls Iall in to the bucket the valve is closed. Loaded-bucketed is then moved to a location where it is emptied. Then the empty bucket is returned back to its initial location.

Mechatronics Factory Automation Scenario oI Iactory automation: BrieIly, when Iactory switch is turned Irom its initial STOP position to START position, a digitally controlled valve enables balls to Iall Irom a storage tank to an empty-bucket; Ialling balls are counted by means oI an optical sensor; when speciIied amount oI balls Iall in to the bucket the valve is closed; loaded-bucket is then moved to a location where it is emptied; then the empty bucket is returned back to its initial location. During this process an indicator (LED) is toggled continuously. The whole process continues until Iactory switch is turned to STOP position. As illustrated below, balls drop Irom the storage tank and pass through a pipe. End oI the pipe is opened or closed by means oI a valve. Valve is operated by a digital signal. II MCU sends a high logic level signal to the valve it is opened, iI a low logic level signal is sent then the valve is closed. Number oI balls Ialling to the bucket is counted by means oI an optical sensor. When there are 1024 balls in the bucket the valve is closed and loaded-bucket is moved to the unloading-location by means oI the conveyor belt. To reach the unloading-location, conveyor motor is operated Ior 20 seconds. When the bucket is at the unloading-location, the motor is stopped Ior 1 minute. During this 1 minute time, an industrial-robot-arm empties the bucket. AIter reversing the belt motion by reversing motor running direction, the empty-bucket is moved to loading-location in 10 seconds. Unloaded-speed oI the bucket is 2 times the loaded-bucket speed.
Question: Design both hardware and soItware Ior the Iactory automation problem described above. a) Draw detailed circuits and all necessary wiring Ior your automation design; indicate all component values and connections. b) Write CCS Pic-C Iirmware Ior the automation process.
Main hardware and Iirmware requirements Ior your design: MCU: PIC16F877A, Optic Sensor: CNY70, Actuator: DC motor, L293D H-Bridge IC, Count the balls using TIMER0 module. Toggle the LED (Automation process indicator) at every 0.25 seconds using TIMER1 module Control the motor speed using CCP module by PWM technique. PWM Irequency is 1000 Hz.
