The aim of mouule B of the Euiopean Economy couise is to builu fuithei on the
pievious mouule to covei both micioeconomic anu macioeconomic aspects of
Euiopean integiation. The fiist pait of the couise will focus on welfaie benefits
of foiming the customs union. As such, this pait will intiouuce the
micioeconomic tools of piefeiential libeialization necessaiy foi the analysis of a
customs union. This section will covei the exteinal Tiaue Policy of the E0 as
well. The seconu pait will focus on the macioeconomics of monetaiy integiation
anu E0 monetaiy anu fiscal policies. The lectuies will intiouuce the mateiial in a
way that coveis all thiee aspects of each topic: economic theoiy, E0 policy anu
empiiical eviuence.

The couise is going to consist of 2 lectuies a week anu a tutoiial eveiy two
weeks.

The lectuies will take place on Weunesuays 1S-16pm (Bam }oly4) anu Fiiuays

The tutoiials will stait in week 4 anu the class will be split into two gioups that
