Reference to Geotechnical Measurements and Standards Geotechnical measurements have been defined and developed by geological/ technical and

chemical organisations over the past century, culminating in internationally recognised standards of analyses, classification and presentation of results. The development and international recognition of these standards makes them discernable for analysis and understanding and seabed sediments as a key unit of habitat mapping.
