• Each of your prints is technically successful. You have chosen high-quality negatives from which to make
your prints from, and each print has been crafted with precision and care.

• Each of your final B&W prints each are clean, clear, and have a wide range of values as evidence of making and
correctly assessing a test strip.
• You have chosen the proper enlarger aperture to preserve details and a wide range of middle grays of your B&W
prints.
• For each of your B&W prints, you have correctly used an enlarger to enlarge and focus your negative.
• You have used darkroom tools & processes such as a grain focuser, filters, and/or dodging and burning where
necessary to improve your image.
• Your final digital image demonstrates the use of proper exposure settings on your digital camera. You have
exposed your picture at a high resolution, properly white-balanced and adjusted color, or made any necessary
changes to your image in Photoshop that improve its overall appearance.

• You have used an easel and/or trimmed your print to create a crisp, clean, sharp border around the outside of each of
your prints.
• You have created two file sizes of your final digital image, one file 8x10” at 300 dpi, the other file 8x10” at 72 dpi.
You have uploaded the 72 dpi image to your Flickr portfolio and titled it.
• You have decided how to finally present your work. You have matted/mounted your final B&W prints for your
portfolio, and you have scanned those B&W prints and posted the final images with your digital image on your
Flickr portfolio.
