Update Your Contact Info Eastern Carver County Schools uses a messenger system to send a phone or email message

to parents and guardians for school cancellations, early dismissals, late starts or other situations that require urgent communication. Principals also use this phone/ message system to communicate general announcements or reminders. Our ability to contact parents or guardians quickly depends entirely on accessing accurate information. Parents and guardians can review their contact information stored in our student information system all year long by logging on to the Campus/Parent Portal. Please call the CES school office at 952556-6300 or email churchilld@district112.org to make any changes or updates. We thank you for your assistance to the success of our school and to make a difference in the lives of our students. Student Directory In compliance with state and federal laws, ISD 112 must make some student directory information available to the public. This information can be withheld only at the request of the parent/guardian. (Please refer to the student handbook, which will be posted on our website, for details regarding Data Privacy). If you wish to have your childs information excluded, you must fill out a Exclude Student Directory Form each year. Forms are available in the CES office. School Supply List and Activity Fee Please view the School Supply List on our website at ces.district112.org The activity fee for the 2013-2014 school year is $18.00 for grades 1-5 (Kindergarten not included). The funds are used to pay for special projects throughout the school year as well as planners in the upper grades. Field trip costs are not included in the activity fee. You will be asked for additional fees at the time of the field trips. Please also remember to bring gym shoes for Physical Education class. Please make checks payable to Chaska Elementary School. If the purchase of school supplies and/or activity fee proves to be a financial hardship for your family, assistance is available by contacting the Chaska Elementary School Office 952-556-6300.

Two Referendum Questions Nov. 5: A renewal and a levy for security and technology Please remember to vote. There will be two questions on the election ballot Nov. 5 for our school. Question 1 is a r enew al o f an existing referendum levy. Question 1 continues an existing levy and does not increase taxes. Question 2 asks fo r $2.45 m illio n annually to improve technology across the district and to update security at all schools. If question 2 is approved, property taxes would increase $11.25 per month on an average-priced home in the district ($285,000). For more information, including a detailed plan for the technology improvements, go to vote.112online.org. Parent Portal Parents new to District 112 or parents who have not yet requested a portal account need to complete the Parent Portal Account Request form, by going to the parents tab on the district 112 website. The form must be signed and returned in person with picture identification to your childs school. Parents with children in multiple schools need only to contact one of the buildings. The Infinite Campus Parent Portal allows access to contact information; your childs report cards, schedules, and bus information. Report cards are no longer sent home. A hard copy can be requested at the main school office If you created a Parent Portal account last year, you do not need to open another this year. You are all set to access your childs information. Bus information now available on Campus/Parent Portal This school year, all busing information can be found online through the Campus/Parent Portal. With the exception of kindergarten and special education students, no letters will be sent to student homes with bus information. Log on to your Campus/Parent Portal account here.
