INFORMATIVE SPEECH OUTLINE

SPECIFIC PURPOSE : To inform my audience of how to stay awake in class in 3 situation. CENTRAL IDEA : The three situation that important stay awake in class involving what we must do before we having class, while we having class and after we having class.

INTRODUCTION I. The body needs energy to stay fit and healthy. Sleep is one of the most important factors to keep the body in its healthy state. There are times that you may feel sleepy because your body lacks the energy to stay up for a long time. II. For your information, sleep plays a ma or factor in growth and development of a student. It also affects peoples! behavior, temperament and learning ability. Studies show that sleep deprivation may cause I" levels to temporarily decline. True enough, when one is drowsy, one tends to be weak in reasoning and memory. III. So if you have e#perienced problems like these, it!s time act now. $ere are some suggestions to avoid sleeping at class there is step before, during and after we having the class.

'. ' good night(s sleep is needed every night. )ost people need seven or eight hours of sleep. *ounger children will work well with nine or ten hours of sleep. Try to have an + hour long sleep. If not, try to have at least , hours of good sleep- meaning you should be well rested and your body has recharged for the ne#t activity. .. Take some breakfast first. /ereal, fruit, milk, uice, coffee, toast...even a peanut butter and elly sandwich is better than nothing to ump start your day. *our metabolism needs a start every day. /. Take a walk to avoid sleepiness at class. 0etting away from your desk or work area and out of the building will re uvenate your senses. 1ven if all you have time for is a 2uick step outside for a breath of fresh air, you!ll feel more awake when you get back to studying. 3. Stretch two or three times a day, stand up and move around. 4each, bend, twist and touch your toes to keep that blood flowing, letting your brain and body know that despite sitting stationary for up to eight hours a day, you are still awake5 %Transition : now we go to the what we should do to stay awake during we in the class.&

Stimulate the brain with an e#perience that stimulated you, an e#citing moment, what you are going to do after class, what is for lunch...anything to get over that sleepy feeling. 3on(t let your mind wander too very long, ust think of something else long enough to s2uash the sleepy feelings. .. 6ay attention to what is being said in the classroom. Stay involved in the activity or whatever is taking place. /. Step away from your class now and then to talk or ask your teacher about learning today. 7ot only will it wake you up, but also strengthen your confident level. 'lso when do grouping classes with your friends. 3. 8ash your face with some cold water to reduce your sleepiness 1. Try deep breathing, inhaling and e#haling to offset your feeling of sleepiness.

%Transition : when the mission to stay awake in class is accomplish, the most important things are surely think that we are not to sleepy again. So we must to remind our self after the class.&

This will help you get rid of your sleepiness. 3o some stretching or walking around every afternoon or at least 3 times a week. .. )ake sure your room is 2uiet and your environment is propped up to make you sleep soundly at night and to avoid feeling sleepy the ne#t day. /. 'void drinking coffee too much and don!t drink alcohol especially at night, because this takes at least + hours for its effect to wear out and will only affect your sleep. 3. 'void taking large meals at night and drinking too much as this can cause you to wake up at night lessening your sleeping hours. 1. Take a hot bath to make your sleep more comfortable at night.

8hat that hoped after hearing three way eluding to stay awaken in class, we all able apply this three way nicely. 'part from to ourself, this way also can apply to pupils when in school later.

8hen fully focus provided during in classes and body staying in enough state active and are prepared to studying, our 2uality of learning besides also increased. This way also were practice by academic top students and what is wrong if we also follow this way. 6erhaps we also intended become between e#cellent student in our class or our friends9 8ho knows...
