Profiles International, Inc. (PI) was established in 1991 in Texas, USA.

It had amongst its stated objectives that of providing employers with current, valid and easy to use employment assessment instruments, so that they could make better use of their human capital resources. It operated initially in North America, where it now has tens of thousands of clients, both large and small. It is the world's innovator and leader in the development and distribution of employment related assessments. Profiles now have affiliates in over one hundred countries including. Assessments have been translated and validated in sixteen languages (and growing).

Profiles Asia Pacific, Inc. (PAP) is the Philippine affiliate of Profiles International. Launched in 1998, the corporation is registered with the SEC with 20% foreign ownership. As exclusive distributor of PI products, Profiles Asia Pacific markets directly to client companies and has an established dealer network. PAP provides training and support to both dealers and end users alike. PAPs office is located in the Ortigas Center area of Metro Manila. Where appropriate, assessments are translated into Tagalog.

SkillCheck Inc. In 2001, PAP took on a second affiliation, that of SkillCheck Inc., also from the USA. SkillCheck publishes computer-based skills oriented testing, which nicely complements the psychometric assessments of PI. Literally hundreds of performances based testing modules are available to our clients through SkillCheck using either computer or Internet delivery systems. Expansion: Based on the success and acceptance of the instruments offered, PAP has undergone a period of considerable expansion: People Dynamics Inc. was formed as a 100% affiliate of Profiles (2002). Services offered are often based on the assessment instruments of Profiles (testing services, assessment based recruitment services and assessment based training services), as well as other areas of HR consulting, such as Job Evaluation and computer based applicant tracking. On-line learning and assessment products from Thompson namely NCLEX (nursing review/assessment) and NETg (on-line university) were added 12/2004. Assessment products of HRD Press and Ordinate were added in 2005. A new division Academic Assessments.ph, Inc., was formed under the JFK Foundation (which is managed by Profiles) as the academic testing division of the firm. Provisions to provide an internationally accepted high school and college entrance test are in-hand.

Mr. Malcolm Pick is the Managing Director of Profiles Asia Pacific, Inc. and oversees business development within the region including Guam. Malcolm obtained his BS (Mathematical Physics) from the University of Birmingham and his MS (Business Management) from Imperial College, University of London. His broad business background includes over thirty years international business experience covering Europe, Asia and the USA. He has worked for such companies as Coopers and Lybrand, NCR, Levi Straus, Reed International, and The SGV Group in Asia as partner in charge of computer consulting and computer training (I/ACT). Ms. Jocelyn Reyes is the Assistant Managing Director of Profiles Asia Pacific. Jocelyn obtained her BS and MS (Statistics) from the University of the Philippines, and her MBA (International Business) and MSBA (Finance) from the University of Southern California (USC). After several years in government (PMS/NCC and PPA, OPM) she moved to California and held positions with KPMG, Los Angeles and The Holden Group. She is a consultant with the USC International Public Policy & Management (IPPAM) Masters Degree Program and under Secretary De Jesus, was consultant to the Department of Education (Philippines). As entrepreneur, she established a chain of retail stores in Southern California. Dr. Scott Hamilton is the Head of Profiles Research & Development team and oversees all aspects of assessment development. His graduate education is in Clinical Psychology and Counseling and represents Profiles International, Inc. as an active member of the Association of Test Publishers. Before joining Profiles, he enjoyed a successful 20-year career as a consultant to business in human resources, personnel evaluation and selection, strategic planning, information systems, cost accounting, and management development. Mr. Chuck Wilson is the Senior Vice President for International Marketing. Chuck obtained his BA and MBA from Harvard University. He has over twenty years experience in corporate financial and executive management in both public and private companies. For thirteen years, he was a financial executive at Ryder System, Inc., a $5 billion diversified transportation services company. For seven of those years, he was Ryders vice president and treasurer. He was later a senior vice president and chief financial officer of a NYSE-traded environmental services company in Southern California. Deficiencies with Current Testing Instruments: Profiles noted when if was founded in 1991, that there were many deficiencies with the then available instruments, many of which are still in use. Amongst these deficiencies were: Almost all instruments in use were developed for the purpose of diagnosing specific clinical conditions, NOT for the purpose of employment evaluation. Most needed to be interpreted by a trained psychologist. They had cultural and other biases, and did not fulfill the legal/labor codes for none discrimination. They were not updated neither were they representative of current personality theory, nor representative of the changing employment pool. They had no available validation studies. In short, they possibly did a fine job of clinical diagnosis (for which they were developed), but were not only unreliable, but also invalid and in some cases illegal, when applied to the workplace. The Profiles Solution: To overcome these difficulties, Profiles has slowly developed a completely new set of employee related assessment instruments, literally from the ground up whilst making full use of prior research.
