Todays HVAC challenges demand Innovative VRF Solutions.

Mitsubishi Electric Variable Refrigerant Flow zoning solutions deliver unprecedented levels of comfort and efciency. And, with our innovative products and design tools, you can congure the right solutions for more building applications than you ever thought possible.

Its tougher than ever to design an HVAC system that meets everyones needs.
Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) zoning solutions from Mitsubishi Electric HVAC provide you with the solutions to meet all of these needs. Mitsubishi offers the rst simultaneous cooling and heating multisplit zoning system for the United States, providing you with the utmost exibility and freedom. Regardless of the building size, you can provide each individual space with its own personalized, zoned comfort system and realize signicant energy savings in the process.

System Design Made Simple

Our VRF solution is amazingly simple. This unique two-pipe system requires fewer refrigerant and electrical connections which means reduced complexity, time and cost of installation. You can easily add, change or remove zones in the system. And you can install ductless or ducted systems depending on your needs and building conguration.

Plus, because the system moves refrigerant and not air, you get extremely efcient comfort control. We use highly responsive and efcient INVERTER technology that varies compressor speed and system capacity to match your indoor space load requirements. For better management of room conditions, the room air temperature can be measured at the indoor unit, not at a remote thermostat. And the return air temperature can also be measured by our i-see sensor accessory, which senses and controls temperatures and vane direction. In addition, our compact, lightweight condensing units give you incredible placement exibility, freeing up more usable building space. Vertical air discharge allows you to place units side by side, minimizing the system footprint. And you can even transport the units in a service elevator, eliminating the time and cost associated with using cranes. Both the condensing and indoor units feature incredibly quiet operation. Condensing units operate as low as 56 dB(A) and indoor units operate as low as 22 dB(A). This is of great value in spaces that require minimal disruption like churches and education facilities. The units are so quiet, you can even place them right under a window without worrying about noise levels.

Zoned Comfort For Every Preference

As much as 60% of a buildings energy use comes from its HVAC system. By heating or cooling only the areas that need it at any particular time, you can provide maximum individual comfort while generating valuable energy savings. Our system consists of condensing units, indoor units, if needed, a branch circuit (BC) controller and corresponding system and zone controllers. Condensing units (and possibly a BC controller) are connected to the indoor units by a two-pipe refrigerant system and work in unison to deliver the required capacity to each indoor unit. The controllers provide a wide variety of conguration settings to satisfy each zones requirements, including temperature control and timer settings.

Innovative Products To Cover Every Angle

Mitsubishi Electric leads the U.S. in VRF technology and products. We offer everything you need for optimized cooling, heating and ventilation in one powerful package. Our unique modular systems allow you to congure the right system for your capacity and needs. Condensing Units (with capacities up to 30 tons) Modular to meet your capacity requirements; exible placement to free up space Heat recovery, heat pump and water-cooled units R evolutionary heat pump systems with Hyper-Heating INVERTER (H2i) technology, exclusively from Mitsubishi Electric. They provide 100% heating capacity at 5 F outdoor temperature and 75% heating capacity at -13 F, allowing you to obtain year-round comfort with a single system. Indoor Units Multiple options to meet varied room design & aesthetic needs C an be mounted on wall, ceiling or floor, or can be concealed Floor-standing units can be concealed or exposed Vertical air handlers work for tight spaces Integrated return on indoor ductless units saves space U p to 50 indoor units can be connected at up to 150% or 130% of the outdoor units rated capacity, depending on system type

Condensing Units Heat Recovery or Heat Pump units can support up to 50 indoor units or 50 individual zones. Combine units for even greater capacities.

Branch Circuit (BC) Controller Works in unison with the outdoor unit to provide simultaneous heating and cooling something no other two-pipe system can do.

An Unprecedented Level of Control

Our VRF systems make it easy to zone a building to meet occupants needs with individual setpoint control. But our advanced controls go further, enabling building managers to remotely manage up to 2,000 indoor units from a single PC. You can set and monitor operation, mode, temperature, fan speed and airow direction, and create an operating schedule thats tailored to the needs of the people and the building.

Intelligent Software That Makes Your Job Easier

No one makes it easier to design an effective VRF system than Mitsubishi Electric. Our unmatched Design Software allows you to: Drag and drop components to complete the design. A ssure that line lengths, maximum connected capacities, component selection, control scheme are all within the system requirements. E asily enter system design conditions, such as indoor and outdoor design conditions for both heating and cooling. S et up controls and Lossnay ERVs by selecting the style then dragging and dropping them into the design. C an provide output of system designs to AutoCAD.

Manage up to 2,000 indoor units using centralized controllers and software licenses.

The resulting system is summarized in an Excel spreadsheet, and includes all design parameters, equipment list, line sizes, indoor unit operating capacities, additional refrigerant based on the line lengths, control scheme with addressing, and more.

Superior Training for Today and Tomorrow

It just makes sense to learn from the experts. Mitsubishi has trained more than 12,000 contractors and engineers on Variable Refrigerant Flow technology more than any other company in the United States. We offer training courses nearly every week at each of our ve Training Centers. In addition, we have a Training & Development (T&D) website driven by Learning Management System (LMS) where you can earn CEUs. T&D offers you: Commercial and residential training Password-protected accounts for all training customers O nline registration available for all of our training programs 24/7 access to your Mitsubishi training history

Design is a snap with drag and drop components and built-in safeguards.

Our Maintenance Software monitors pressure and temperature readings from system sensors in order to control system LEV settings and all connected indoor units.

The Strongest Network of Distributors and Contractors

Mitsubishi is committed to building an unmatched infrastructure across the United States to support the rapidly emerging Variable Refrigerant Flow technology. We have established more than 1,000 distributor ofces, and we have the largest network of trained contractors among all VRF manufacturers in the nation all to help you take advantage of this exciting technology.

Its Smart to Go With a Leader

Monitor system pressures, temperatures, LEV settings and more, remotely or on site.

Finally, we offer Energy Modeling Software to help you compare energy efciency of VRF to other systems and lifecycle cost savings in various climate zones.

Mitsubishi is one of the most recognized and valued brands in the world. So its no surprise we lead the industry in building awareness and preference among all key audience segments for this emerging HVAC technology. Our HVAC systems have solved complex challenges in a vast array of building types, in every corner of the world, and in extreme climates. And we have been consistently selling VRF systems in the Americas for longer than any other brand in the world.
