Its time to care less. Yep, thats right. Sometimes we take the world on our shoulders, and instead of making the world a better place, all we end up doing is creating more stress for ourselves. Here are simple tips to ease that heavy mental load and feel more carefree. You may also want to read: If You Don't Do These Now, You'll Regret 10 Years Later

1. What others think

Dance to your own beat. Act dumb. Do whatever you have to but dont take on board what others think. Its your life, your decisions and choices. Others love to judge, and why should you care if they do? Only you define yourself, so let them be amused if it makes them happy. When you care too much about that others will say, you live your life for them and not yourself. See Also: 10 Truths That Smart People Often Forget About

2. Past mistakes
We all make mistakes and mess up in life. Thats just how life goes. Dont be hard on yourself, though. Accept that everyone gets it wrong sometimes; its part of the human condition. You really are allowed to cut yourself some slack. Learn to forgive yourself more often.

3. Failure
The big F word that everyone fears. It doesnt have to be a scary concept, though. Ultimately, it depends on your attitude to failure. If you see failure as not being perfect, youre going

to be permanently miserable. A more realistic idea of failure is giving up. If you havent given up, you havent failed. See failure as a learning curve, a trial and error process. See failure as your friend its no big deal unless you allow it to be.

4. What you dont have

The human default position tends to err on the side of lack rather than abundance, which is not conducive to feeling carefree. We focus on what we dont have and end up feeling thoroughly deprived. Whats the point of that? I often tell my clients to focus on the positives of what they have and the negatives of what they dont have. Why would you want to torture yourself with all the things you dont have? That type of thinking will not serve you in any productive way at all. Make a list of all the things in your life that you appreciate. There will always be others with more and others with less. What you have is enough.

5. What Ifs

We can drive ourselves crazy worrying about what might happen in the future. No one can predict the future (psychics might dispute this), and there is no point in torturing yourself unnecessarily about things that may never come to pass. Remind yourself that this type of worry is wasted energy and distract yourself. Face worry head on if you can do something in the present moment, go for it. If not, distract yourself and shelve the worries.

6. Ill be happy when thoughts

When we believe that we will be happy once something has happened, we effectively put our life on hold until the event happens. Wishing your current life is away is a precious waste of happy moments in life. Be in the moment more and care less about being happy in the future. Decide to be happy now. Happiness is not a destination, it is a manner of traveling.

7. Regrets
Regret is a part of life. The past cannot be undone, so it pays to look at what you have done in life philosophically. Did you learn something from it? If you learned never to do it again or

to try a different approach, then youve ended up with a positive result. Accept what has gone before, make allowances for human error and move on.

8. Rejection
Many of us are so afraid of rejection that we stay in our comfort zones and never risk true intimacy. Wear your heart on your sleeve and risk being vulnerable. The more you hide out of fear, the greater the fear will grow. Show yourself that you can express your feelings and live with the consequences. You will conquer fear of rejection in this way and feel more carefree. Even if the outcome is not as expected, you will soon realize that it wasnt as bad as you anticipated and that you can deal with it. Be a little more thick skinned, be brave and see life as an adventure.

9. Societys expectations
Be thin, be beautiful. Show off your wealth and status and then youll be adored. What nonsense. When you like and accept yourself as you are, you dont need to prove yourself to anyone. Dont buy into the constant media images of

perfection. Most of the images are airbrushed and lead us to believe that we should all look as perfect. Try not to take it to heart. We all like to see perfect images, but dont lose sight of the fact that most of it is digitally enhanced and not natural. Love yourself, imperfections and all. Self acceptance is true freedom.

10. Being good enough

Its easy to feel that we dont measure up somehow. We live in a competitive world. Its okay and even healthy to want to improve and grow as a person. It becomes unhealthy, though, when we internalize negative ideas about how we arent good enough. Always challenge this type of thinking. What is good enough? Where is the international rule book that clarifies what good enough is? As long as you feel happy with who you are, where you are and how far you have come, that is all that matters. We all worry unnecessarily and create inner misery for ourselves. Remember the above ten points, as they are definitely items you can immediately remove from your worry list. Hopefully youll feel a little lighter and a little more carefree too!

We waste so much of our lives caring about unimportant things, foolish things, and unchangeable things. 10 Things to Stop Caring About Today

There are so many things I wish I had known while growing up. No one ever tells you the hard truths of life. Maybe its because they cant stomach it, or maybe its because they think its just something you have to experience firsthand to understand. Here are twenty things nobody told you while growing up that wouldve been nice to know beforehand:

1. Youre Going to Spend A Lot of Time Figuring Stuff Out

Unless youre one of the lucky few who already knows what their passion is and what you really enjoy, you will be spending a lot of time trying new things and figuring out what youre good at and what you like. Dont be afraid to try new things and fail at them; failing builds character. You have a lot of growing up to do in your 20s, a lot of self-examination and exploration. Use this time wisely to get to know yourself as best as you cannot that you wont change as you continue to get older, but its definitely a time of discovery, getting to know oneself and what you want in this world and what you have to contribute to the world.

2. Dont Expect Smooth Seas

There will be many challenges, obstacles and curve balls swung your way. Just try to take life as it comes. Dont fight against the current because youll just wear yourself out. If theres a door that is standing wide open for you and another that youre trying to get through by knocking it down, sometimes its best to take the door thats already open for

you. In other words dont try to be someone/something youre not.

3. Learn About Personal Finance Now

Learn how to budget and manage your money, how to open a checking/savings account, and how to use credit wisely and live within your means. Your future self will thank you for it. Buy quality items you can keep around for a long time to come, not cheap crap that breaks that youll have to buy again in a year. Invest in yourself, your education, your personal improvement, your health and your relationships to others.

4. Assume Change Will Come

Life is about change; dont fight it and just go with it. Learn from your mistakes and grow. Let go of things you cant change. Sometimes change will be so painful you will want to rip your heart out, but youll be okay if you just hang on and know that no matter what happens, you will be alright. Win, lose or draw, life will go on and youll get another chance to start your life over if things havent gone according to plan.

5. Keep Your Plans Loose

Speaking of plans, keep them loose and flexible. Its good to have an idea of things you want to accomplish and where you want to be a couple years down the road, but honestly no one knows whats going to happen tomorrow, let alone 5 years from now. Its fine to make some plans but be flexible and willing to change them. Remember that people change and things happen that will push you in one direction or another. Dont waste time beating yourself up because your plans didnt go the way you wanted. Dont worry about things you cant change; focus on making new plans/goals and where you will go from here.

6. Time Is a Limited Resource

Nothing lasts forever. Enjoy every moment that you have. Enjoy life and practice being present in the moment because it goes by extremely fast. There will be both good and bad times. The bad thing about up is theres always a down. Its important to really enjoy and savor the good moments in life because youll need those memories to reflect back on when the bad times come. The first 10 years after high school go by

at a breakneck speed and before you know it youre 28 and wondering how the time has escaped you.

7. Life is Hard
When youre a teenager, youre just at the beginning of your lifes lessons. Life is the toughest teacher you will ever have. Life is a cruel teacher. She gives the test first, then the lesson. Life will throw everything that it can at you; it will try to break you and choke you until you cant breathe, but you cant let it.

8. Youre Only Young Once

Enjoy being young while you are still young! Enjoy being young as much as possible. Enjoy the metabolism and the fun times. Cross stuff off your bucket list while youre young because no one knows how much time you truly have. Dont wait until youre old and cant or may not be able to do the things you really want to experience. Seriously, you may be broke while youre young, but that doesnt matter. Youve got time to make money and settle down. Travel, explore and do what your heart desires now. You can still get married, have children and a household and career starting in your 20s if you want, but you should try to balance your life with equal amounts of responsibility and fun. The last thing you want to do is look back on missed chances.

9. Make Your Health a Priority, Not an Option

Once you get into your late 20s and early 30s your body is going to start losing metabolism and energy. Youre going to start hurting and going to bed earlier. Start eating better and exercising. Dont think of it as a choice. Start developing a healthier lifestyle and soon it will become habit. Take care of yourself physically, mentally and spiritually.

10. Attitude Determines Your Altitude

Attitude is everything and thats not something they teach you in school. Having a good attitude can make all the difference in your life. It makes life easier and happier when you have a positive outlook and are able to keep your attitude light and flexible when dealing with other people and with lifes challenges.

11. How You Treat People Matters

Treating people with respect and decency can get you a long way in the world. Remember that honey attracts more flies than vinegar. Being nice to people really does actually matter to people. You wont get anywhere tearing other people down or blaming others for anything. Take responsibility for yourself, your actions and your feelings.

12. Relationships Dont Come Easy

Choosing a life partner/spouse is hard. Relationships in general are hard, not just romantic ones but friendships and family relations as well. Stay in touch with people who you

really care about and who really care about you. Make an effort to stay an active person in their life if you really care. You will not have as many close friends as you get older and you will probably lose some friends as well. Remember that it is okay, not everyone who comes into your life is meant to stay forever; let them go and cherish the people who are still in your life.

13. Be Prepared To Deal With Changes in Relationships

Look at your time with exes and be thankful; even though it didnt work out, at least you got to experience it and learn from it. You rolled the dice and lost, but at least you took a chance! Dont think that just because something wasnt meant to be for your entire life doesnt mean it didnt add value and was right where you needed to be at the time. In your 20s, especially if you have a family, it gets harder and harder to spend time with friends because of so many different time demands. You will be pulled in every direction and its up to you to decide what your priorities are. Having a couple of close friends you can rely on can make a difference

in your life. As they say shared joy is doubled, shared sorrow is halved.

14. Take Every Chance You Get

Life is about taking chances, grabbing opportunities and taking risks. Dont be afraid to try something new, move somewhere new, work somewhere new, meet new people and learn something new.

15. Let Go of Expectations

Expectations ruin everything and most of the time our expectations are too high for those around us and for ourselves. No one is perfect and nothing is ever going to be perfect. The faster you can learn this and let go of too high or false expectations, the easier life will come to you. Expectations bring heartache and only cause harm. Expect nothing and appreciate everything.

16. Life Is Complex. Try Not to Worry

Dont worry because everyone has ups and downs. Its just how life is. Life is extremely messy and complicated, but dont despair because things will work out in the end. Keep living and keep on doing what you enjoy. Dont be too hard on yourself.

17. You Get What You Put In

Happiness, love and confidence come from within. Life is what you make of it and what you put into it. You can create whatever life you want, and if you create that life and it doesnt work for you anymore, guess what? You can create a whole new life that does work. You may not have a choice in things that happen to you but you have a choice in how you react to them. Try to stay positive no matter what life throws at you and get through the tough times by talking to friends, family and a counselor if you need to.

18. You Will Face Rejection

You will be rejected at some point in your life. Rejection hurts at the very core of your being, but try not to take it too personally. Oftentimes, when youre rejected it has nothing to

do with you and everything to do with the person rejecting you. Take it in stride, let it slide off your back and move on. I know this is easier said than done, but it will go a long way in making you feel better and happier.

19. You Will Not Have Everything Figured Out Anytime Soon
If you dont have everything figured out by the time youre 30, youre not alone. If youre not where you want to be in your life or career, dont sweat it, you still have time. Some people never figure out what they really want to do with their lives, but they get a lot of great experience, learn new things and can transfer their skills to many types of jobs. If you know what you want to do in life, start doing it immediately, practice it as much as possible and you will get better at it.

20. Love More and Keep Your Heart Open

Love is all that really matters in the end. Give of yourself more than anything. Try to be patient, empathetic, understanding,

caring and gentle with other people. Get to know people better by asking questions and listening attentively. People usually like to talk about themselves and questions are a great way to get conversations going. Love people for who they are, just as they are, and realize that everyone is a work in progress! Life is a continual work in progress. Were all just trying to find our way, and were all confused and looking for contentment. Life is a journey, and happiness is not a destination to arrive at, but a way of living. 10 Wise Lessons: What I Wish I Knew When I Was Younger 10 Wise Lessons: What I Wish I Knew When I Was Younger

Life can be a roller-coaster of an adventure with highs and lows that rock your emotional being. I know its easy to fall into the trap of agonizing over things beyond our control, and to be totally honest with you, that very thing has been my activity of choice over the last month. Long story short, some unexpected bills and other unfortunate circumstances have added a significant amount of stress to my life, so Ive been guilty of playing the, Why me? game myself. But the reality of the situation is this: stressing out over things beyond your control will not make your problems go away; it will make them a lot worse. And the more I think about it, the more I realize I have a lot to be thankful for that Ive been taking for granted. Do you have stressful, negative thoughts that you cant get out of your head? Im sorry to hear it and I know the feeling, but youre doing better than you think. Dont believe me? Ill prove it. Just ask yourself these ten questions.

1. Are you reading this article?

If so, you have a valuable tool at your disposal. The power of the Internet is limitless. You can learn about anything you desire, connect with old friends, explore job opportunities, search for support communities, and network with people all around the world.

2. Can you go outside without fear of death?

Car bombs and mass shootings are a regular event in some countries, so be happy you have it so easy.

3. Did you eat something today?

One out of eight people in the world are suffering from hunger, so be thankful that youre not one of them.

4. So youre stressed out about what to do with life?

Good. That means youre ambitious and wont settle for whatever life hands you. Channel your nervous energy into positive action, because consistent hustle always wins.

5. Do you hate your job?

At least you have one unlike the 11,500,000 people who are currently unemployed in the United States. If you have dreams of self-employment (and enough savings to support yourself), Im sure an unemployed person would be happy to trade places with you so that you can pursue your passion.

6. Is there a roof over your head?

I dont know about you, but Im glad Im not at risk of shivering in the cold when winter comes.

7. Did you fail at something recently?

Failure is the most effective teacher youll ever meet, so be happy you learned a lesson. Stop looking at failure as a bad thing and see it as a learning opportunity. Improve yourself in

some way every time you fail and eventually, you will become so developed that the only option left is success.

8. Are you mad because your pet ate, destroyed, or pooped on something?
Before you answer that question, think about how happy your pet has made you over the years and ask yourself, Would I trade that feeling for the world? Didnt think so. Yelling at it wont make you feel any better, nor will your pet understand what all the ruckus is about, so just shrug it off. Live alone and feeling lonely? Adopt a pet and youll likely end up with the most loving and loyal companion youll ever meet.

9. Could you stand up right now if you wanted to?

Movement should be an expression of joy and thankfulness. You have working limbs and a body that can carry you wherever you want to go in this beautiful world. The next time you catch yourself putting off exercise, think about all the people in the world who are confined to wheelchairs. Some

people dont move because they cant, so move because you can.

10. Are you feeling a little better about life now?

If this article made you thankful for things youve been taking for granted, I challenge you to make a list of every specific thing in your life that youre happy about today. I would bet my bank account that youll discover youre doing better than you think. What are you thankful for right this second? Tell us in the comments and you just might make somebodys day. If youre not a millionaire, dont give up hope that you will become one someday. Take note of the reasons you arent a millionaire and resolve to make changes that will make a million dollars obtainable, even for the average person.

1. Youre Not Your Own Boss

Although theres no guarantee that self-employment will earn you a million dollars, its really unlikely that working for someone else will get you there either. There are very few jobs that pay million dollar salaries. Dont quit your day job tomorrow to launch a business, however. Instead, consider keeping your day job while you start a business on the side. Youll have the security of your current salary along with an opportunity to create a business where you can earn extra cash.

2. You Avoid Taking Risks

People dont become millionaires without taking any risks. Taking a risk doesnt mean you need to invest all your money into a single investment or that you need to gamble earnings foolishly. However, taking calculated risks is often part of good money management. No one gets rich on the interest they earn from the bank. Instead, millionaires know how to invest their money wisely.

3. You Never Act on Your Good Ideas

Its one thing to come up with million dollar ideas, but a completely different thing to act on them. If you are more a dreamer who never puts his money where his mouth is, youll never get rich. Millionaires dont sit around and watch others advance in life. They take action to help them reach their goals.

4. You Dont Manage Your Money Wisely

The average person has the potential to become a millionaire in todays world. Sound investments, a solid budget, and clear

goals can mean that a person who earns an average salary can become a millionaire by retirement. If you dont manage your money wisely now, however, its unlikely that youll be able to handle a million dollars with good sense. Establish a budget and create goals for yourself to help you save money now.

5. You Dont Set Clear Goals for Yourself

People who dont have clear goals arent going to make smart money decisions. You need goals to help you save money and invest wisely. Create goals, such as getting out of debt or saving up for a vacation home. Creating goals will help you determine whether or not you should spend your money on other things that come up in the meantime. If youre saving with a specific goal in mind, its much easier to say no to tempting opportunities to spend money.

6. You Dont Put in Enough Time, Effort, and Energy

No one makes a million dollars by watching TV or sleeping 12 hours a night. Unless youre lucky enough to win the lottery or inherit a windfall, becoming a millionaire takes hard work. Millionaires consider the time and energy they put into a project to be an investment. They understand they wont get immediate results but are willing to put in the hard work it takes to see the fruits of their labor. Learn how to manage your time wisely so you can become more productive with your efforts.

7. You Arent Networking with the Right People

You wont become successful in life if you spend time with lazy people who arent interested in managing their money wisely. However, if you surround yourself with energetic, successful people, it will rub off on you. Develop relationships with successful people in your community. Look for people who can mentor you in your efforts to manage your finances, invest wisely, or build a business. Spending time with others who share your goals

can help fuel your passion and efforts to become a successful millionaire. Want to be successful? Take the first step and sleep well: 11 Sleep Habits of Successful People
