TURMERIC FUTURE Turmeric futures are seen trading higher on account of good demand from buyers in India and overseas coupled with concerns about yield in Andhra Pradesh. Shortage of good quality spice and expectations of rise in export enquiries too limited sharp fall in prices. Turmeric futures are likely to trade with positive bias due to weak production estimates for the current year. CORIANDER FUTURE oriander futures are expected to trade higher on robust demand amid concerns over crop damage due to cold weather in !a"asthan and excessive rain occurred during the sowing period. oriander acreage in !a"asthan was #$%$$& hectares for the current year which is %& percent of total area of #'%()% hectares in $&#$*#+. arryover stocks too stood lower. As per latest report from India ,eteorological -epartment. very dense fog was observed at many places over !a"asthan and ad"oining states. JERRA FUTURE /eera futures ended down as new crop arrivals are expected to rise in the coming days. Supply from old crop is also seen high because of sufficient carryover stocks. 0igher area and expectations of record high output further pressuri1ed "eera prices. SOYABEAN FUTURE Soybean 2eb futures traded on a positive note . tracking positive overseas markets as well as fresh soy meal export demand. 0owever. prices corrected marginally from higher levels on profit taking and settled &.$(3 higher. Arrivals of the new crop across India are reported at #%+.&&& bags on Thursday as against #4&.&&& bags on 5ednesday. S6PA has estimated production to be lower and has revised its output expectations to #$$.+7 lk tn from #$4.%+ lk tn earlier.
