Transportation is the movement of goods or people from one location to another. Usually, transportation use a vehicle that is run moved by human or machine. It used to make the people easier to do their activity. Transportation is vital because it enhance trade between people and countries which in turn establishes civilization and good relations. Transport developments in the history of moving is very slowly, to evolve with little changes, the real journey begins with walking distance to the paleolithic era. Human history shows that in addition to the walking is also aided by the use of animal dragging a load that cant be raised by humans and the use of a raft in a river. Some of the footage recorded in transport relief carved in stone on the area of Ancient Egypt and the surrounding area. Transportation has many kinds, there are land, air and water transportation. At the moment, I will explain about general transportations. First, Land transportation can be achieved through a vehicle such as a car or sport utility vehicle. Other kinds of transportation include vans, trucks, and buses. These forms of transportation use gasoline or diesel fuel to empower them. Motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters are forms of transportation that are opened to the outside. They are not as safe as other, closed forms of transportation. Trains and subways carry large groups of people quickly from one location to another. Land transportation also has advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is the operating cost is cheap. Every people can own land transportation, if there is enough money and ultimate from their jobs. If they dont have land transportation such as car, motorcycles, bicycle, they can use public transport such as bus, train, taxi, etc. And then, the disadvantage is the media of land transportation is limited. It cant use for the journey to different islands, we need other transportation such as ship to move land transportation to other islands. Second, air transportation has different media with land transportation because air transportation need big machine to run it. In general transportation, air transportation such as airplanes and helicopter. The advantage of air transportation are it can move every people to many places which cant be done by land and water transportation. And also on this transport is highly dependent on weather conditions. If bad weather conditions, the airplanes will be delayed until a long time. Stating that makes people think that it does becomes useless. Third, water transportation is transportation that uses water as a means to move goods or people. In general transportation, many types of water transportation such as water transportation using human power are kayak, rafts, rowboat, canoe, and sampan, and then water transportation using machine power are from ship, sailboat, ferryboat, speedboat and motorboat. This

transportation has advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are it can move a lot of people in a large vessel with a cheaper cost than using air transportation and many traditional vehicles used by people in the countryside so easy to use. But, it also has disadvantages is this transport depends on the weather where if bad weather conditions then the trip will be disrupted. Often, the weather changed while on the road so that accidents caused by the weather cant be avoided. This situation makes people afraid to use it. In real activity, many vehicles belong to special transportation in all of kinds of transportation. This particular vehicle may only be used by certain people or institutions in an unusual circumstance. In land transport such as ambulance that is only used to bring the sick or dead person, tank is vehicle that is used by the military war when forced to cripple an enemy, police car is vehicle that is only used by the police in carrying out their duties, and fire engine is vehicle used by the fire department in case of fire in one location. In water transport such as submarine that the vehicle is used underwater journey normally used by the military and even today can be used on a sightseeing trip, battle ship that is only used during the war by the military in defending its territory, oil tanker is vehicle used to transport oil in large quantities in a region separated by water. The last, special transport in air such as rocket is vehicle that is only used to fly into outer space objects and sometimes used as a tool of war of a country, glider is a vehicle used as a training aircraft for someone to be able to fly larger aircraft. In addition, there are special vehicles that can be used in three locations is amphibious vehicle. It is special vehicle that can be used in various types of transport both in land, water and air and this vehicle is also used by the military as a vehicle of war preparations. In daily, the transportation must impact in life. They are economical, social, political, and territorial benefit. First, Economical benefits that economic activity aims to meet human needs by creating benefits. Transport is one of the types of activities concerning the improvement of human needs by changing the geographical location of goods and people that will lead to the existence of a transaction. Second, Social benefits that transportation provides various facilities, including services for individuals or groups, the exchange or delivery of information, Travel to relax, Shortening the distance and disperse population. Third, Political benefits that transportation creates unity, broader service, state security, overcoming disasters, etc.. Fourth, Territorial benefits that Meet the needs of residents in the town, village, or inland. My conclusion, transportation is the most important thing in our lives. In fact, it have many helped us in a variety of transportation needs and will continue to evolve with advances in technology.
