This Certificate is subject to terms and conditions overleaf. Any significant change in design or construction may render this Certificate invalid. The validity date relates to the Type Approval Certificate and not to the approval of equipment/systems installed. If any person suffers loss or damage which is proved to have been caused by any negligent act or omission of Det Norske Veritas, then Det Norske Veritas shall pay compensation to such person for his proved direct loss or damage. However, the compensation shall not exceed an amount equal to ten times the fee charged for the service in question, provided that the maximum compensation shall never exceed USD 2 million. In this provision "Det Norske Veritas" shall mean the Foundation Det Norske Veritas as well as all its subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents and any other acting on behalf of Det Norske Veritas.

Application/Limitation
The structure calculaton is done according to DNVs Standard for Certification 2.22 Lifting Appliances, Oct. 2011 The hydraulic cylinders are understood to be used only to lift and lower the gangway without load, and is assumed delivered with manufacturers certificate. If a DNV product certificate is required, all materials shall be delivered with material certificates equal to minimum EN10204:2005 3.1. If a DNV product certificate is required, all welding to be carried out by qualified welders. Reference is given to DNVs Standard for Certification 2.22 Lifting Appliances, Oct. 2011. If a DNV product certificate is required, the gangway is subject to testing according to ISO7061:1993(E) 8.3.2. Connection and support to the ships structure is assumed covered by separate approval. The gangway is assumed to be function and load tested after installation onboard.

Typetesting not relevant. Before taken into use testing according to DNV Standard for Certification 2.22. the load shall be spread uniformely ref ISO 7061 8.3.3.

Marking of product
The gangway shall be marked as follows: - Manufacturer's name - Safe Working Load, SWL - Product certificate number - Reference to Type Approval number.

Marking of product
For retention of the Type Approval, a DNV Surveyor shall perform a survey every second year and before the expire date of the certificate to verify that the condition for the approval are complied with.
