1 Overview

Following agreement to merge ClearText Publishing and Publish Offline, a formal project has been established to merge the two companies into one, under the ClearText brand. Now we have to communicate this decision to staff in both companies and integrate staff, assets and processes into a single operation. ecause this integration is so critical to the successful evolution of the ClearText business, we have decided to underta!e the merger as a formal project and to comprise a Project oard, with oard Chairman Ton" #effre"s in the lead as the Project $ponsor. The next step is to find a senior Project %anager to implement the merger&s ph"sical elements. The !e" objectives for the Project %anager&s role are to' ( )nitiate the project * b" defining its scope, structure and approach towards . implementation + Plan the project in detail * to ensure that the people, resources, timeframes and . budget re,uired are properl" defined and scheduled - .xecute the project * b" performing the ph"sical integration of the compan" staff, . assets and processes / Close the project * b" releasing staff, resources and e,uipment . )t cannot be overstated that the success of this project is critical to the continuing ClearText business operation. Customers and staff must pass seamlessl" from Publish Offline to ClearText, with minimal effect on overall sales revenue. The Project %anager will report directl" to the Project oard and will re,uire strong leadership and people management s!ills.

2 Purpose
The purpose of this role is to be able to interpret the designers and progress of the project to paper. From technical terms to eas" to read and understand for the part of the sta!eholders or an" interested readers of the project.

3 Responsibilities
The 0ocumenter1Technical 2riter is responsible for some1all the document of the project, as specified below. Project Initiation 3nderta!e the meeting for the business case anal"sis of the team. 0ocument the meeting and approved proposals of the team. 3nderta!e the meeting for the project charter and document the meeting through the project charter template. Propose all the documents made to the project manager for approval.

Project Planning To be able to communicate the team for the re,uired documents needed for this phase and propose meetings for ever" documents. To be able to document the designer4s idea and propose it to the project manager. To be able to document the total possible expenditures for the project. To be able to communicate the possible time allotment proposed b" the team and document it. To be able to set the deliverables needed b" the project sponsor during this phase.

Project Execution To be able to explain to the team what the designer4s propose and what the project manager wanted. To be able to follow to the project manager4s need for documenting during this phase. To be able to document all the management monitoring and control wor!. To be able to document all of the minutes of ever" meeting ta!en on this phase. To be able to warn the team if the team is not heading to the exact goal of the project. To be able to remind the team of an" meetings ahead of time.

Project Closure 0ocument the needed document of the team for project closure. Communicate project team for closure.

4 Organization
The #obs )T $olutions agreed to this hierarchical structure for this project. 2here the 0ocumenter1Technical 2riter documents and communicates with the Project %anager and 0esigner of the project.

5 Relationships
The 0ocumenter is responsible for the communication and reminder of an" possible constraints in the project. 5e is also responsible for ma!ing sure that all of the problems, solutions, constraints, and needed papers for the team to be documented for review' CEO/Owner of the Firm. The documenter ma" able to communicate to the C.O if the Project %anager ordered. This communication is focused on the agreed papers between the project team and the firm. 6n" misalignment of the communication must be reported to the team and addressed b" the team to be able to align and clear an" disagreement on the project. Project Manager. To be able to respond to the need of the project manager and also the need of the project. 6ll orders must be followed and documented to ensure communication is segregated to the team members. $egregation of orders to team members is also in the role of the documenter. Designer. The documenter must be able to communicate with the designer. 2ith the designer of the s"stem and all of the documents presented from the design, the documenter must be able to present the document and explained thoroughl" to ensure that the C.O can understand it.

6 Skills
The Project %anager must have the following !e" s!ills and competencies' Documentation 6bilit" to convert technical papers to readable and eas" to explain presentation. $!ill on different methods of flowcharting and documentation. To be able to suggest methods of documentation for the team. To be able to present documents that is exact for the team to follow. $trong communication and presentation s!ills

Communication To be able to communicate throughout the organi8ation to what the Project %anager wanted and planned to do. To be able to remind the team to what is agreed upon and to ensure that it is followed.

Team Management 6bilit" to control and motivate cowor!ers and subordinates. 6bilit" to correct the mista!es of others. 6bilit" to lead the team to the goal of the project.

Designing 6bilit" to provide insights on designing the s"stem. 6bilit" to document what is agreed on the design and presents it.

The following statements describe the general wor!ing conditions appl"ing to this role' The 0ocumenter is alwa"s called upon meetings and discussions thus ma" be called during after wor! hours or between tas!s given. 0ocuments are important for the project. Thus, deadlines of the documents have time constraints that are extremel" short. There will be times that documents will be returned for revision. Thus, there will be times that the documenter will handle multiple documents at a short period of time.
