OBJECTIVE (S)

Pupils should be able to pronounce words and speak confidently with the correct stress , rhythm and
intonation .
ACTIVITIES
:
1. Teacher knocks on the door and says May I come in ?
2. Wait for the pupils respond .
3. If there is no respond , teacher teach the pupils the correct respond .
Step 2
1. Teacher puts up the story chart on the board .
2. Call the pupils to sit on the floor / mat .
3. Tells / reads the story to the pupils .
4. Also shows the pictures of the characters .
Step 3
1. Ask the name of the characters .
2. Show the picture and the pupils name it.
3. Help the pupils to pronounce it .
4. Talk about the story and the picture
Step 4
1. Put up some sentence cards / questions cards
e.g: Please , may I sit down ?
Yes, you may .
Please may I come in ?
Yes , you may .
Excuse me , may I go to the toilet ?
Yes , you may .
No , you may not .
2. Read aloud together.
3. Pupils read aloud .
4. Teacher asks the pupils for permission using the correct stress , rhythm and intonation.
5. Detect and correct any error
