CYCLE TRAINING CLASSES WITH THE BIKE STATION

The Bike Station is accredited by Cycling Scotland to promote and encourage confident cycling. We work to promote sustainable travel and healthy lifestyles.

Basic Skills of Cycling

LEVEL 1
This course develops your confidence on your bike, as you learn easy exercises to get you started. For those who can't balance, don't worry as you can learn from scratch, as well as other aspects of cycling, such as what to wear when riding. Courses can be arranged as weekly lessons between yourself and your trainer. If youre going to ride safely, you need to be in control of your bike. Often people learn to ride as children, but never refine the skills they really need, such as steering and braking safely, being able to look behind them without wobbling, and changing gears smoothly and effectively. By the end you will feel much more confident about your skills, and will also know which areas you want to practise and improve.

You will come away from this course with new-found confidence in your ability to handle riding in city streets no junction will be too complex to tackle with the skills you have learned.
