Course Objectives The objectives of this course are to: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Establish a strong understanding of the principles of Digital Design. Provide Understanding of number systems and Boolean algebra. Represent logical functions in Canonical form and standard forms. Develop the Knowledge of combinational and sequential circuits design. Enable the student to design and implement their circuits.

Course Learning Outcomes 1. An ability to understand the basic number systems used in digital design 2. An ability to understand the basic principles of Boolean algebra 3. An ability to design and analyze combinational logic and sequential logic digital circuits 4. Develop state diagrams and algorithmic state machine charts methods of minimization of next state transition tables, and strategies for state assignment.

INTRODUCTION TO NANOSCIENCE AND NANOTECHNOLOGY Aim: To understand the basic concepts involved in Nanoscience and to gain knowledge about various methods of synthesis, characterization and applications in Nanotechnology.
