The reason I quoted the entire poem was because there is no specific examples of his simple diction, the entire poem is simple in that way

Taking the sun into his mouth represents doing the impossible, and the darkness represents those things that are holding him back from doing so

The moon and the sun are both very large and widely known objects, and both widely unachievable when it comes to touching them

The analysiss of this poem I read say that this line refers to a mermaid whos innocence is mesmerizing but she is virginal
