Participants
The Polytechnic University of the Philippines Quezon City Campus held its Annual Freshmen Orientation for the Academic Year 2013-2014 at the PUPQC Covered Court Its participants are the bonafide freshmens students of the PUP Quezon City; the students of Bachelor in Business Teacher Education, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Human Resource Development Management and Marketing Management, Diploma in Office Management Technology and Diploma in Information and Communications Technology students. The committees are composed of the Organization Officers of the major and minor organizations of the campus. From the registration committee led by the CWTS Youthnited Force officers, logistics and other tasks was done through the help of other officers. The program started with an opening prayer led by Ms. Hazel B. Villanueva with the doxology performed by the HIMIG MUSA. It was followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem that was led by Ms. ChelzeaTorayno, Associate Public Affairs of the Supreme Student Council. Afterwards, Mr. Renz Fernandez, SSCs Legal Consultant, gave some icebreaking exercises to energize the freshmen students for the program. It was followed by Dr.

Jennifor Aguilar, the NSTP Coordinator of PUPQC, giving inspirational opening remarks, and at the same time, introducing the next speaker. Dr. Melissa P. Sarapuddin, the campus doctor, taught the students all about Dengue and helped them to be aware of it. After the Dengue Awareness session, an intermission number was performed by the MUSA Dance Troupe. Afterwards, the major student organizations made presentations for the students to know each organizations vision, mission, officers, etc. They are presented as follows: Supreme Student Council (SSC), Commonwealth Information Technology Society (CommITS), Junior Management Society (JMS), Future Business Teachers Organization (FBTO), D Innovators and the Distinguished Organization of Management Technologies and Corporate Specialist(DOMT.CS). Then, another great performance was presented by the PUP TanglawPepsquad, making the freshmen give a warm round of applause. Then, the minor student organizations introduced themselves to the freshmen students. The organizations presented in this order: Vox Nova, MUSA, DAMLAY, LITERA, KATAGA, CWTS Youthnited Force, ROTC, KKB, PUNO-UMC, CBI, I-Rock, ACTS, Red Cross, and lastly, PUP TanglawPepsquad.
