VACANCY AT I-CeLLS, ATTORNEY GENERALS CHAMBERS 1. Position 2. Service Group 3. Status of Position 4. Basic Salary 5.

Terms of Appointment : Associate : Legal : Contract : Salary Scheme Grade L44 to L48 : The position is open to interested candidates with the following qualifications:

Candidates must have at least a Bachelor s Degree or Professional qualification in Law or equivalent, degree recognized by the Government. Candidates with a LLM or PhD in Law or equivalent would have an added advantage. Application is opened to all legal officers within the Judicial and Legal Service at the Grade of L44 (Acting) or L48 (Acting). Candidate must be willing to be exposed to different areas of law. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with people at all levels. Computer literate especially in Microsoft Office. Good interpersonal, analytical and report writing skills. Able to work independently with minimum supervision. Displays good analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, a good team player, disciplined, meticulous, committed and able to work under pressure to meet set deadlines. RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assisting Director in the conduct of the day-to-day operational and administrative activities of ICells. 2. Conducting Legal research by focusing on comprehensive research on complex issues of law. 3. Undertake capacity building exercise by organising specific/high level training programmes /courses and assessing the necessary training need of the legal fraternity. 4. To be able to come up with project proposal to be carried out by the I-Cells. 5. Performing function relating to developing legal resources such as collecting and compiling materials and resources 6. Providing effective search and access system to the databases of I-Cells. 7. Working towards establishing the centres own publication . 8. Provide consultancy services and establish partnership/collaborations with other entities. METHOD OF APPLICATION I.
