Release Notes of KAV for Windows workstation
Improved:
------------
Added functionality:
Bugs fixed:
1) Compatibility issues with some proxy server versions (for downloading updates by
the Administration Server) have been resolved.
2) In the standard MSDE installer, MSDE SP 3 is enabled (previously, MSDE SP 2).
3) An error with non-paged pool leakage when ICMP packets are sent has been fixed.
4) An error configuring notifications from policy settings has been fixed (in the
previous versions, the same settings were applied to all policies).
5) An error that occurred periodically when the database was created during
Administration Server installation has been fixed.
Known issues:
1) After the upgrade, the rules for handling events on the Administration Server (on
the "Event processing" tab in server properties) are set to default. It is recommended that you
review the event processing settings for the Administration Server and change the default
values, if necessary.
2) After the upgrade, remote installation tasks configured to run under a specified user
account start working under the Administration Server account. To solve this issue, create
new remote installation tasks and configure them to run under an account different from the
Administration Server account.
3) MSI installer for the Network Agent has English localization only.
--------------
Improved:
Fixed:
- effect of some settings on the anti-virus protection level, such as numbers
SMTP/POP3 ports, enabling iChecker and iStreams technologies and enabling prompting for
password upon detection of a password-protected file;
- absense of the full path to composite files stored in the quarantine/backup storage;
- a possibility to replace a "black list" license keys file with an earlier version.
- compatibility issues with Kaspersky Anti-Spam;
- compatibility issues with Microsoft Outlook;
- error removing user settings during upgrading of the application version;
- scanning compressed files (during both real-time monitoring and on-demand scans);
- scanning infected OLE objects;
- disinfection of Microsoft Outlook databases (PST) and Microsoft Outlook Express
(DBX) databases;
- errors when updating application modules on computers running Microsoft Windows
98/ME;
- scaning of macro for Microsoft Office 97;
- wrong information was recorded in an on-demand scan report if the directory
contents could not be read;
- after an anti-virus scan of the quarantine storage, suspicious files stored in the
quarantine were duplicated;
- the files with full paths to them (for example, C:\Program Files\test.exe) could be
excluded from scans if a short path to this file was used to run the file (for example,
C:\Progra~1\test.exe).
