Youth Missions Teams Make Huge Impact!

August 2014
We were privileged to host a youth missions team from the Beavertown
Gods Missionary Church during the month of June. Their primary
focus was to minister to children through VBS services. The teams
first service was held at a government run orphanage where close to
fifty children were presented the gospel through Bible stories, songs,
and skits. Later that same day, they held a childrens rally at our church
in Tiloarque. Our house and church were overflowing with nearly 160
children and visitors. They definitely set a record at the church for the
biggest crowd ever. It was exciting to see a good group of children
come forward to pray at the end of the service. This kind of scene was
repeated throughout the week as the team visited a school and church in
Nicaragua as well as our church in Las Delicias. Gods presence was
felt in every service, and the children listened attentively, holding on to
every word. They will never forget these young people. As the team
traveled from service to service, they touched lives along the way.
Families from the church had prepared blessings bags filled with
toiletries and food items to be distributed randomly to needy people.
Like a little ray of sunshine in a dark world, these little bags helped to
warm peoples hearts.
These young people were a joy to host. Their smiles, their love for God,
and their kindness made a huge impact on many peoples lives. Several
of our church people later testified that to see these young people
serving the Lord at such a young age was an encouragement to them
and an inspiration to keep following God.
Thank you to the Beavertown GMC for sending us quality young
people who were a huge blessing to our ministry!

Team Millmont
In mid-July, a team of three young people
came from the Millmont Gods Missionary
Church to help us build a Sunday school
room in Las Uvas. They worked extra hard
building the frame, nailing the slat boards,
mixing cement, and treating all the lumber.
It was hot, sweaty work. For some time,
Hannah has been wanting a room in Las
Uvas where she could teach the children.
Now she has a very suitable place where the
children can learn more about God. It has
helped to boost our attendance
tremendously. Thank you young people and
thank you Millmont GMC for your
investment in the kingdom of God!!

Water Project Completed!
We are praising God that we finally have running water in Las Delicias.
The Beavertown Gods Missionary Church took on the project to help
us raise nearly $5,000 to buy a pump, generator, and water tower to be
able to give running water to five families including our pastors family.
This region is very arid and water is hard to come by, most families
have to do their washing in dirty ponds.
But now the quality of life has been
raised and good clean water for drinking,
washing and bathing is now easily
accessible. The new generator is also
serving to run the well pump as well as to
run the lights in the church when the
electricity is out! Thank God for this
answer to prayer!

Bible Distribution
The Community Christian Church in
Mifflinburg, Pa was so kind to choose us as
the recipients of a very sizable donation to
buy and distribute Bibles. We have already
begun distribution of over 150 Bibles and
we plan to buy more once these have been
handed out. The people have been so
excited and extremely grateful to receive
their very own Bible. Many of them have
said that it is the best gift they could ever
receive. Pray that Gods Word will go forth
and change many lives and serve as a map
to heaven!
Prayer Requests
Continue to pray that our
people will seek holiness.
Pray that all three churches
will see an increase of
souls.
Pray for Joseph as he
begins third grade.
That God will raise up
leaders and pastors.
For new opportunities to
plant churches.
Update on the Boys
Josephs summer vacation is quickly coming to a close and he is
gearing up to start third grade. He has mixed emotions, excited to start
another year but a little nervous about learning his times tables. He
really enjoyed having the youth missions teams come down this year.
He made lots of friends and lots of memories with them. Joseph is
really wanting to learn to play the piano, so we hope to soon find a
music teacher so he can begin lessons. The Beavertown missions team
bought an electric piano for the church, so now Joseph has a piano he
will be able to practice on.
Daniel is doing very well. He is saying more words and his balance is
getting better. Thanks to one of our neighbors we were able to get
Daniel into a therapy center at no cost! He has therapy with about five
other children his age who also have Down Syndrome. They meet every
Tuesday. He really enjoys the activities and the interaction. We thank
God for how he is growing and developing.
