"Biotechnology and Agribusiness Create Cultural and Economic Devastation." The Global Food Crisis. Ed. Uma Kukathas. Detroit: Greenhaven Press, 2009. Current Controversies. Rpt. from "Vandana Shiva: Why We Face Both Food and Water Crises." Alternet. 2008. Opposing Viewpoints in Context. Web. 21 Feb. 2014. The article from opposing viewpoints describes the relationship between agribusinesses and globalization which impacts the food and the water crises happening around the world. It gives details about companies privatizing water supplies in countries and draining thousands of liters a day leaving behind a water famine. It then explains how all of the carbon emissions are directly connected with these companies. These companies make up 25 percent of the carbon emissions in the world today from the use of pesticides and transporting food such long miles. When I begin my research paper, I will be able to use a lot of the facts and statistics I found in this article for all of my paragraphs. Compared to other articles I have read and considered, this has been the most helpful article I have found. The only problem is that its very biased and doesnt state the other side of the argument. This article will help me build my argument for every paragraph in my research paper. This has been the best all around source I have found because it talks about so many different things. It will help on the negative environmental effects the most because that was the focus of the article. From reading this, I have a lot more knowledge about agribusiness on a global aspect instead of just in the country I live in.

"Antibiotic Use in Animal Agriculture Is Dangerous and Unnecessary." An HSUS Report: Human Health Implications of Non-Therapeutic Antibiotic Use in Animal Agriculture. Humane Society of the United States, 2009. Rpt. in Antibiotics. Noah Berlatsky. Detroit: Greenhaven Press, 2011. Opposing Viewpoints. Opposing Viewpoints in Context. Web. 21 Feb. 2014.

The article from opposing viewpoints describes all the health problems related to excessive antibiotic use in business farm animals. In recent years, more and more strains of antibiotic resistant viruses are much more prevalent, only in countries that allow the use of non-therapeutic antibiotics in farm animals. The topics covered ranged from antibiotic use promotion, harm to animals from excessive growth, and the health risks to humans. I believe this is a good article that has a lot of information I can use in my research paper, but it has a strong biased towards not allowing the use of antibiotics for growth purposes in animals. It will help me develop my paragraph on the health issues caused by gmos and antibiotics. In comparison to the other sources I have, I feel this is a good source but some of my other ones are of more help to me. This article will help me with the negative health effects. I plan to use a lot of the information about the antibiotic resistant bacteria that is becoming more common. It has given me insight to just how many health issues and other things that have been caused as a result of industrial agriculture. I would recommend this to anyone who would like to learn about antibiotic resistant bacteria and how it occurred and to anyone who would like to learn about the use of antibiotics in agribusiness.
