ByMarkHeil MyprofessionalaimsasateacheraretoseekGodstruthinmydailylifewhichwill fuelmetoinspireotherstoseektruthaswellbythinkingcritically(T2)anddevelopingan excitementforlearning(T3).Iseektoimprovemyabilitytoengagestudentsintheirlearning (T3)byseekingoutteachersatYISSwhoexcelinthisarea.Ifindobservingteachersinthe classroomgivesmenewideasandwaystogetstudentsexcitedaboutlearning.Oftentimes itisbeneficialtoevenobserveamiddleschoolorelementaryclasswhereteachersoften placemoreemphasisintheirlessonsandactivitiestoengagethestudentswhiletryingto makelearningfun.Ialsoaimtolearnmorebyresearchingandimplementingstrategiesfor engagingstudentsinrigorouslearning,andrefiningmyuseofformativeassessment practices.Thesewillbemeasuredthroughpreandpostassessments,studentwork samples,peerandprincipalobservations,andselfreflection. Inspiringstudentstoachieveisstrivingtomeettheschoolsgoaltowardsexcellence (Acommitmenttoexcellenceshouldbereflectedineveryendeavor.Phil4:8).Whenstudents canconnectandenjoythecomputerrelatedassignmentsthatIassign,theyaremore motivated(ThejoyoflearningisconnectedtothejoyfoundinknowingGod.Ps111:12). WiththeBiblicalintegrationtoolsthatcanbeintegratedintotechnologyprinciples,Ibelieve studentswillpracticestewardship(E2)withtheirmindsanddemonstratingintegrity(E3)in theclassroom(OurcommitmenttoexcellenceisareflectionofourloveforGod.Col3:17, 23). Ireallyenjoyteaching9thgradeasIusuallyfindthattheyareveryfun,free,and exploratorywithadiversesenseofcreativity(D1).Theoldertheygetthemoretheybecome mature,cool,andsetintheirwaysandthusmuchhardertogetthemtoshoworiginal creativity.IplantomakesureIkeepthe9thgradeparentsinformedoftheclasssothatthey feelcomfortablewiththeclass.Iwouldliketocontinuelearningmoreaboutphotographyand
