Li$elihood is a means of li$ing or supporting life. Li$elihood acti$ities can rarely be e#pected to create self:reliance on their own. 7ather/ they are part of a set of acti$ities that can support economic self:reliance. ;or instance/ li$elihood pro.ects can be a starting point to de$eloping certain sets of skills in the community. 0rnamental plants or garden plants are typically grown in the flower garden or as house plants. ,t is also used to enhance $acant spaces in schools/ parks and many other places. Most commonly they are grown for the display of their flowers. 0ther common

ornamental features include lea$es/ scent/ fruit/ stem and bark. ,n some cases/ unusual features may be considered ornamental/ such as the prominent and rather $icious thorns of Rosa sericea. ,n all cases/ their purpose is the en.oyment of gardeners and $isitors.

0rnamental plants may also be used for landscaping/ and for cut flowers. % flower/ sometimes known as a bloom or blossom/ is the reproducti$e structure found in flowering plants (plants of the di$ision Magnoliophyta/ also called angiosperms*. ;lowers immediately cheer up any garden with their $ibrant colors and sweet aroma/ and when planted in the right combination/ they can keep your garden looking bright and

beautiful all year round. Learn more about choosing and growing the best $arieties of perennials/ annuals/ bulbs/ roses/ ornamental plants and groundco$ers to create a stunning landscape. %s part of our re<uirement for graduation/ we came up with a pro.ect that will be rela#ing and pleasing to the eyes of those who will see it. ,t can also ser$e as an e#ample of an ideal community that looks beautiful and healthy to li$e in. 870-43T

The pro.ect will impro$e and maintain the 3ommunity set up of the 3ollege of Nursing. We the students planted ornamental plants such as flowering plants. 4ach plant was planted strategically so that it will blend aesthetically with the other plants. With this we were able to create an ambiance that looks so natural and fresh.

This was accomplished after a series of meetings with all the 7L4 groups (7elated Learning 4#perience* concerned with the pro.ect and with our ad$isers. Some were assigned to procure garden soil/ while others take charge of the purchasing of plants and other materials needed. %ll the tasks are di$ided e<ually to all groups to facilitate the accomplishment of the pro.ect.

The accomplishment of the pro.ect took us about > weeks. We first discussed about the plans for the pro.ect. %ll important factors such as budget/ labor assignments/ 7L4 schedule of the students in$ol$ed and the climate were considered. %fter a thorough discussion/ we were able to come up with the list of materials needed as well as the cost estimate of the said materials. Soon afterwards we started with the implementation of our plans. ;irst step was comparing the prices of the materials from different sources and then purchasing them from the suppliers who offered the cheapest price. The pro.ect was considered as worhwhile in the sense that it has helped de$elop a sense of cooperation and responsibility among the students in$ol$ed in the pro.ect. Thus enabling us to accomplish the work well and finish it on time. The remaining task now is to continuously nurture the plants by regularly watering and culti$ating the soil around them.

0rnamental plants as well as flowering plants are beneficial for people from all walks of life. ,n $iew of this/ we would like to recommend to the succeeding batches of the students of the San 8ablo 3olleges/ 3ollege of Nursing to continue this li$elihood pro.ect. They should stri$e hard to maintain and keep the whole $icinity of the 3ollege of Nursing clean and aesthetically pleasing. 7ules and regulations regarding the care of plants should be formulated and implemented so that the beauty and the cleanliness of the surrounding will be maintained. We also highly recommend that we student nurses should stri$e hard to de$elop the le$el of awareness of the people in our communities about these plants.
