All alarms generated by the Alarm System are automatically sent to the AMS using SIA. SIA messages provide a full audit trail of an event which detector, location, time and date, and a permanent record of every alarm. Messages for set and unset include who, where, time, and date, all recorded. No need to check that each PIN is correctly wired; the Texecom and the WebWay take care of everything automatically.

Texecom Series
Texecom Premier 816 (WWO Version)
A special version of the 816 known as the Premier 816 WWO is shipped with special software which allows it to communicate with the 2424 SPT, however it does not have a dialer which means that it can only be used with the 2424 system. Note that a cable assembly is required , which WebWayOne can supply although any 5-Way Molex type connecter can be modified. The Texecom main board assembly has only 1 Com port on the PCB with a 5-pin connection interface. This connects to the TTL R, T and gnd terminals of the WebWayOne 2424 panel interface. This means that a local PC and the 2424 SPT cannot be connected to the panel at the same time. When connecting the local PC, leave the SPT disconnected for about 30 seconds before connecting to the PC. This should ensure that the panel recognizes that the SPT has been disconnected. If there are problems establishing communications with the local PC, try entering user code + menu + 7 on the panel keypad (abort all communications). The connection details are as follows:

General troubleshooting tips for Texecom panels We recommended that all Texecom installs are completed with Wintex software. Once you have completed programming the Texecom then restart the panel and WebWay the Texecom bus requires this reboot to see the WebWay as a communications module. Alternatively change the com port settings and move the WebWay to com Port 2. If you receive the following message on the keypad; ATS path fail com 1 this refers to a actual communication path. Please check your Ethernet/GPRS/PSTN connectivity. This does not refer to the com bus between the panel and the WebWay unit. To stop this alarm being sent to the keypad, select Areas > Options > ATS Path Faults and make sure that no areas are selected. Testing alarms, you can send a PA from the keypad by pressing 1 & 3 at the same time. If you wish to use com port 2 on a premier 88, please contact Texecom for a 5 to 7 pin converter or see the pin out on page 2
