Afrox Saffire Universal Cutting Torch
Item No 005/803 Servex 021/067 Versatile, robust and well-balanced, capable of cutting steel up to 300mm thick Excellent flame control and exceptional handling ease. Can be used with either acetylene or propane depending on type of nozzle fitted Special nozzles for gouging and heating are also available. Overall length 500mm. Other lengths and angle heads are available on special order through any Afrox Branch.

Afrox Saffire Cutobut Torch

Item No 010/400 Servex 021/066 Solid constructed torch specially designed for use with propane or LPG as a fuel gas. A unique injector in the head provides a combination of high speed cutting and economy in operation. Nozzles used with Cutobut are: PVH - High Speed capable of cutting steel up to 200mm.

Afrox Saffire Type 2 Shank
Item No 005/800 Servex 021/069 Used in Virtually every South African industry and has through the years been thoroughly tried and approved. Versatile in that its range of uses can be considerably extended by fitting various attachments for each process. Weighs only 530g. Hose connections 3/8" BSP .

Afrox Saffire Type 2 Mixer

Item No 005/802 Made of precision-machined brass and weighing only 150g.

PROCESSES
Afrox Saffire Type 2 Cutting
Item No 005/800, 005/801 (Servex 021/070) and cutting nozzles to suit. Cuts steel up to 75mm with acetylene and with propane. Progressive cutting oxygen lever avoids splash when starting and piercing. Nozzle mixing of gases ensures greater safety. Complete range of acetylene and LPG nozzles available.

Afrox Saffire Type 2 Welding

Item No 005/800, 005/802 and welding nozzles to suit. Welds mild steel up to 25mm. Modern design combines lightness, balance and strength. Conveniently placed and accurate controls, ensure easy flame adjustment during welding. Mixer design gives improved flame stability. A comprehensive range of 14 nozzles are available.

Afrox Saffire Type 2 Gouging

Item No 005/800, 005/801 and gouging nozzle to suit. Quick accurate removal of weld defects and tack welds. Effective for removing lugs, cleats and cracks. For dismantling welded structures and preparing plate edges for welding. Uses acetylene fuel for greater speed. Saves many man-hours of work. Cuts grooves up to 13mm wide and 11mm deep.

Afrox Saffire Type 2 Flame Cleaning

Item No 005/800, 005/802, 005/927 and nozzle 005/003 A complete flame cleaning kit - light, simple and effective. Ideal preparation of steel surfaces for subsequent painting. Removes mill scale and rust, leaving surfaces dry and clean. Paint applied to warm surfaces ensures least moisture entrapment and minimises the opportunity of rusting.

Afrox Saffire Type 2 Heating and Superheating

Instant intense heat available. Either propane or acetylene can be used as fuel gas. Can be used to braze or silver solder large pipes. Will heat pipes for bending. Effective for use in glass forming. Can be used for heating castings and other large articles.

Afrox Saffire LC Torch
Item No 005/698 Servex 021/073 Unique design. It converts from cutting to welding by simply changing the nozzle. Ideal for garages, plumbers, electricians, panelbeaters, hobbyists, refrigeration and air conditioning specialists. Welds up to 4mm and cuts to 35mm thick material with the Portapak set. Cuts up to 50mm with industrial equipment.

Afrox Saffire DH Torch

Item No 005/809 Servex 021/072 Lightweight welding and brazing torch - weighs under 370g. Ideally suited for use in workshops, garages, laboratories and production lines. Welds up to 8mm mild steel - adequately covers all normal gas welding requirements. Strong, light, robust and ergonomically designed shank - less operator fatigue.
