With a proven track record in Restorative Dentistry, together with an interest in the development of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching provision, you will have a willingness to initiate and engage in cross-disciplinary research programmes individually, and in conjunction with research groups in the School of Dentistry. You will be responsible for high quality clinical care, research and student education, contributing towards delivery of the Schools objectives in all three areas. The Schools interdisciplinary Research Groups are Biomineralisation, Microbiology and Cell Biology, Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering, Applied and Clinical Dental Research, Dental Public Health and Health Services and Education and Scholarship. With proven clinical skills, a track record in dental education and evidence of research strengths, you will have the ability to attract funding to support your research interests, whilst providing academic leadership within the School. Clinical Senior Lecturer/Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry Ref: 007386 Salary: 75,249 101,451 per annum

The appointee will provide academic leadership and play a major role in delivery of the Dental Schools research agenda, together with undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Restorative Dentistry.The post-holder will participate fully in the management of the Section of Clinical Dentistry, including involvement in agenda setting and the development of strategy within the Section. In addition, applicants will be expected to perform the duties of an Honorary Consultant in Restorative Dentistry.

Applicants should have a qualification in Dental Surgery recognized for registration by the GDC, a higher research degree and the appropriate clinical training, qualifications and experience to justify the award of an Honorary Consultant contract in Restorative Dentistry with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde, Oral Health Directorate.
