Overall Standards:
Individual Standards:
• Academic time
○ Work with your designated student(s).
○ Have communication device assessable and available to student(s).
○ Engage student(s) in academic tasks.
○ Collect student(s) documentation/data daily.
○ If your designated student(s) is absent, ask teacher whether you will need to assist another
student or make materials.
• Personal Care
○ Respect student individuality and assist/keep student(s) with clean neat appearance.
○ Adhere to student(s) eating schedule.
○ Adhere to student(s) restroom schedule.
○ Ask when need assistance with lifting or other personal care issues.
○ Document any personal care on daily data collection sheet.
○ When leaving room for any amount of time, ask a teacher or another paraprofessional to
assume personal care responsibility for your student(s).
○ Keep student area neat and clean.
• Behavior
○ Follow your teacher(s)’s behavior theory when dealing with student(s).
○ Use/follow your student(s) set behavior plan.
○ Each paraprofessional is responsible for their student(s) behavior and needs. Teacher(s) will
assist when identifies a need.
• Library
○ Have communication device assessable and available to student(s).
○ Assist student(s) in choosing and checking out books.
○ Give same assistance to teacher(s) as you would in classroom.
○ When reading one-on-one with student, read out-loud and engage student by pointing out
pictures, using communication device, and talking about book.
○ Assist students traveling to and from Library.
○ Collect student(s) documentation/data daily.
• Community Outings
○ You are responsible for the safety and well-being of you designated student/students on each
community outing
○ Have all necessary materials for community outing including but not limited to; communication
device, necessary personal care items, phone contact information, field trip forms, etc.
○ The foundations of community outings are communication therefore have communication
devices available and assessable for use. They should be used as much as possible.
• Materials
○ If you have any free time ask teacher what materials need to be completed
○ Perform all clerical/material duties assigned by teacher(s) in a timely fashion.
○ Only work on materials or perform clerical duties in the following situations; before or after
school day, your designated student(s) are absent, or by teacher request.
○ If you are unsure about how to perform set requests ask teacher(s) how for more information
and/or specific training.
• Personal Lunch
○ If you choose to take a non-working lunch, clock out and clock in
○ If you choose to take a working lunch, be in classroom and monitor your designated students
while you are eating.
○ Eat at the time designated by your teacher(s)
○ Lunch is 30 minutes in length
• Teacher Absence
○ Follow Teacher assigned schedule or sub plans.
○ Help each other out watching ALL students with following each students plan.
○ Help out each other filling in when a paraprofessional needs to step out.
○ Collect student(s) documentation/data daily.
○ Fill out Communication Daily log to parents.
• Choice Time
○ Help student out with individual choice activity with picking choice from Interactive
board or pictures.
○ Engage students in choice time.
○ Collect student(s) documentation/data daily.
*Note: this document can and will change depending on need in classroom (including
descriptions of each section and section additions). All paraprofessionals will be informed of
change, given copy of the change in document, and new document will be inserted into the
Paraprofessional notebook.

Para 1
8:00AM – 8:30AM Bus Duty – Please get each student from the buses/cars until 8:30. Take the
students back to the classroom as they get here and go back to bus duty. Get
clipboards for both Student 3 and Student 4 ready for the day. Make sure that
parent had signed the communication notebook sheet from the previous night.
8:30AM – 9:00AM Breakfast in Classroom –Assist Student 2 with breakfast, assist Student 1 as needed
Student 2 is first priority and others can help w/Student 1. Student 1 to eat as
independently as possible.
9:00AM – 10:00AM Morning Meeting – Assist Student 2 and assist Student 1 as needed but have her be
as independent as possible. Have both of their AAC devices ready to go for the
day. Have the correct board open and ready.
10:00AM – 10:15AM Choice – Help Student 2 and Student 1 both pick a choice that they would like to do.
They both must choose an activity (or snack) through AAC device and/or picture
10:15AM – 10:35AM Language Arts (Student 2 and Student 1) Have AAC device ready
10:35AM – 10:50AM Individual Time – Assist Student 2 and Student 1 in all individual time work (IEP goals,
daily goals, etc.) Please ask for help for one of students since this will usually
require one-on-one teaching.
2:35PM – 3:15PM Peer Helpers – Monitor both Student 2 and Student 1 in interacting with peer helpers
Take Daily Documentation Sheet off clipboard and file in Student 2 and Student 1’s
notebook. Get new data documentation sheet for Student 2 and Student 1, put it
on their respective clipboards. Send home communication sheet with both
Student 3 and Student 4. Make sure that homework is written on comm. sheet.
3:15PM – 4:00PM Home - Get kids on bus and then make sure that room is clean and neat. See if
any materials need to be made. Update communication
devices if needed.

10:30-10:45am Literacy
-Help student(s) to assigned location (tables or promethean board)
10:45-PC for AA -Help student(s) participate in the evidence-based practice through reading a
(ask) book on her chosen word, writing sentences, and helping create a PowerPoint
book done with picture research via Google Images.
-Have communication device ready and assessable to use during each activity.
-Take Data on IEP Documentation forms.
12:30-12:50 Math
12:45-PC for AA -Assist students to assigned location (Promethean board or table)
(ask) -Assist students with Math Activity.
-Have Communication device on correct board for each student.
Alternate Schedule-Mondays
1:25-1:35 Travel time to Library (Have book and Communication Device)
1:35-1:50 Library Time
1:50-2pm Travel time back to Classroom
Remember to Follow ALL Paraprofessional Expectations throughout day. Be with Student to assist them in all
activities.
