STATEMENT OF INTENT
What is your project?
My project is a music video/short film which is made to show the beauty we see in life. There will be a variety of techniques being used to show us the creativity in our mind. It is meant to take people on a visual trip into a place where ideas are literally flowing out of peoples minds and it is meant to drag people out of their mental trap known as being closed minded.
RESEARCH
RESEARCH OF PRECEDENTSDay & Night (2010 Short Film) Day & Night is a Pixar animated short film, directed by Teddy Newton and produced by Kevin Reher. It was packaged to be shown in theatres before Toy Story 3, and has been released to purchase on iTunes. Aspect Frame rates and transitions Camera angle Lighting Positives
The frame rate is at a perfect rate which enables it have smooth and clean transitions The camera is kept at a persistent angle giving it a 2D look and feel The lighting inside each character gave them a very radiant glow and making it easy to distinguish them from each other As each character stood in different settings the effect of how the differences between the two were quite magnificent As they walked around and explored the audio suited their actions
Negatives
There are little to no issues with the transitions. The 2D look does get quite boring and plain
Interesting
Being a Pixar short film, the frame rates and transitions have to be up to a professional state. There is nothing interesting about how it was filmed/animated As the Day character stood in front of the sun you could tell a dramatic difference in the light inside of him As stated before, the way each character has their own effect for the setting theyre in is really amazing
Due to the background being completely black there isnt much other lighting used Due to there only being two characters, the effects were kept to a minimal
Effects
Audio
Audio was also kept to a As they moved closer to the minimal due to there screen the audio also was being no background music intensified which gave it an illusion that they were coming towards us

RESEARCH OF HARDWARE
Option 1 iPad
I used my iPad to answer an important section of my assignment answering questions; it was easy to use because it takes away the trouble form doing it on the computers. Advantages - Its easy to use - Loads items quickly - More portable than a laptop Disadvantages - Can lag at times - Can be hard to transfer items to computer - Can be easily lost Summary An iPad is good if you want to as I did to answer of some portions of tasks, sometimes can be annoying it loading time or random crashes but that barely ever happens. And as I stated earlier it is more portable that a laptop and that makes it even easier to use than a laptop.

RESEARCH OF SOFTWARE
Option 1 - PHOTOSHOP
Is an Image Editor, you can create, edit, morph, stylize, organize and render images with the tools. This software is released by Adobe Inc. with its own trademark and copyright, on date. It's not free to personalize, but there are free trials you can download. Advantages - Can save money from hiring experts - Allows you to enhance photos in one click - Can apply various effects easily Disadvantages - Cost a lot of money to get - Uses a lot of memory on your computer - Takes a while to learn how to use it Summary Photoshop skills are usually necessity if you want to be employable for example in the graphic design field. Priced in the hundreds and with a learning curve to match, it's not for everyone, but the time can pay off in increased amounts of productivity.
