Research in ergonomic chair design focuses on improvements in backrest and lumbar support and offers adjustment options for a wide range of body measurements while providing effective support for the users upper body weight.

The average person spends most of his/her study or work time seated. But instead of resting the back continuously against the backrest, there is a tendency to lean forward from the backrest or bend the back.

W-Chair IDEA: A NEW CONCEPT IN CHAIR TECHNOLOGY BASED ON CHAIR DESIGNS DEVELOPED FOR OUTPATIENT PHYSICIANS TO ENSURE THEIR OPTIMAL CONCENTRATION OVER LONG PERIODS DURING SURGICAL PROCEDURES.

The W-chair dispenses with concept of the backrest, instead focusing on supporting the users chest area while seated The W-chair relaxes the back muscles and spine while keeping them facing forward for comfortable posture. The W-chair supports the posterior keeping it in a forward position to maintain normal back curve. The W-chair supports the elbows and keep them at the same height as the desk, reducing shoulder and neck fatigue during desk work times. The W-chair adequately disperses weight pressing down on the back to other body parts(chest, elbows, feet) The W-chair reduces pressure to the thighs and crook of the knee facilitating smooth blood circulation and improving work/study efficiency. Why chest supporter?
The analysis results of students and office workers who spend most of the time during the day sitting on chairs show that they keep their upper bodies detached from the back of chairs. In other words, general chairs have limitations in solving fundamental problems of chair design unless users put voluntary efforts in maintaining right postures. Therefore Wchair is designed to support chest area, relaxing users back muscles and spines to the forward direction to keep comfortable postures.

Why pelvis supporter?

It functions to keep users waist part which is leaning forward as normal waist curve line by supporting backside of the hip and pelvis as it pushes forward. The airplex material which is applied on the left side for the first time in the country steadily backs up the lumbar part by pushing the pelvis forward as air gathered back and when sitting

Why foot rest?
Placing feet on the foot rest when you sit on the chair makes an ideal angle with the knee. If the hollow of the knee is positioned higher than the seat, it helps maintain right postures by helping blood circulation and equal distribution of weight on left and right side. The foot rest of W-chair has been made with superb technology and patent application has been made.

Why autonomously fixing caster?

For over 40kg weights, autonomously fixing caster prevents posture changes when sitting and maintains the correct posture, helping promotion of the tasks and learning effects.

Why ergonomic design?

W-chair is designed to adjust to various body shapes of users and posture changes. Chest supporter provides convenience because it can adjust tilting angle in forward direction and convert to backstay due to rotation in 180 degrees. It has up and down adjusting function according to heights, and can be used regardless of age.

Doctors Medicore Co., Ltd., the predecessor of current Wooridul Life Sciences Ltd., was the specialized medical company which contributed to the national health.
