then honble MR Shri Kamlapati Tripathi. Initial capital cost rs.1.5 cr. Initial loco holding 34 Maximum coaching loco holding for any shed 161.
First to home 3 phase coaching locomotives. Only loco shed in INDIA homing WAP-5 locomotives. Fastest train BHOPAL SHATABDI EXPRESS running at 150 kmph is hauled by WAP-5 locomotives. Electric Locomotives maintained 184 electric locomotives comprising of 87 conventional and 97 based on State-of-the-Art three phase technology are presently being maintained at Electric loco shed, Ghaziabad. Type wise holding of locomotives as on 26/07/2011 is as under:

SUPERVISORS, ANCILLARY AND OTHER STAFF Electric loco shed, Ghaziabad is responsible for the maintenance of electric locomotives and also caters the requirement of supervisors and associated staff for day to day maintenance of locomotives to Divisional (Delhi) RSO organization. The availability of staff is as under:

* MOH for three phase locomotives Besides undertaking scheduled maintenance of locomotives, unscheduled attention to GZB based as well as other Railway owned locomotives is also being under taken as per the guidelines of Railway Board to avoid dead movement of locomotives to their home sheds.
Termination of terminated OHE on shed structure. Commissioning of dry compressed air plant for pneumatic testing in MR & LR bays.
