 Project Title Advanced Antenna Controller For Satellite Tracking Applications.
Period Jan 2005 – May 2005
Description Carried out at ISTRAC-Indian Space Research Organization, Bangalore.
Developed an interface between antenna and PC through an Absolute
rotary type single turns encoder and some add-on cards to find the azimuth
and elevation angle of the antenna. Also built a C Program in the National
Instrument’s Lab Windows Environment to create a GUI (Graphical User
Interface) for control and monitoring operations.

Project SPEED-e Support

Customer National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL)

Period Dec - 2005 to Jan – 2007 (Client-side)

Description NSDL is the country’s premier securities depository promoted by National

Stock Exchange. NSDL offers depository services for securities through
various Depository Participants. The project encompasses three main
modules, detailed below:
♦ SPEED-e (Securities Position Easy Electronic Dissemination) enables
NSDL to provide Internet based services to their Depository
Participants (DP), Clearing Members and beneficiary Owners for
transmitting time critical and secure instructions to make transactions
through the Internet. SPEED-e has been designed for both password
as well as smart card users. It provides smart card based access
authentication for high-end users

♦ STeADY (Securities Trading-information easy Access and DeliverY) is

an STP (Straight Through Processing) initiative by NSDL, and was
India's first STP project. STeADY is a facility which enables the
brokers to deliver/submit contract notes to custodians/ fund managers
electronically by transmitting digitally signed trade information. On the
strength of efficiency in settlement system brought about by NSDL, the
seven-day account period settlement was moved into T+5 settlement
cycle and further to T+3.

♦ Inter-OPerability of STeADY (IOP) As per SEBI's mandate that all STP

participants should open up their systems to each other, STeADY was
to inter-operate with the other competitors in the domain, mainly NSE,
BSE and Financial Technologies. The primary requirement was that
any market participant under any other Service Provider should be
able to dispatch contract notes and instructions irrespective of their
service providers.

♦ IDeAS (Internet-based Demat Account Statement) is a facility which

allows investors and Clearing Members to view the status of their
dematerialised accounts and transactions online

♦ AS (Authentication Server) is an in memory data repository which is

used to verify user credentials at the time of login. It improves the data
security & reduces login time.

Global Custodian is a new entity in STeADY which receives all the files
and able to View the data of the Custodians under him.
