The HP LoadRunner 11.5 Evaluation Package is a zip file containing 2 main folders: HP LoadRunner 11.5 Installation Files folder: This folder contains the main file to install HP LoadRunner 11.5 HP LoadRunner 11.5 Patches folder: This folder contains the most recent general patches for HP LoadRunner 11.5 as of the time of the package release (Oct, 2012)
To install HP LoadRunner, start by unzipping the files to a local directory. Then, go to the HP LoadRunner 11.5 Installation Files folder and read the README.html which is available there for specific details about the installation process. There is also an installation guide (Install.pdf) which can provide additional details. Once youve confirmed that you meet the system requirements for installing HP LoadRunner, go ahead and click on the setup.exe file to begin the installation process. As noted in the installation guide and installation Readme, there are various components to HP LoadRunner (Controller, Analysis, Load Generator, VuGen) and they dont all need to be installed on the same system. After completing the installation process, youll need to install Patch 1 for the various components of HP LoadRunner. Go to the HP LoadRunner 11.5 Patches folder and youll see the various patches that are available for the various components of HP LoadRunner. Additional details on the patches are listed below, but generally just clicking on the .EXE file for the various patches will install them.
