The sub heading The subheading starts the interview off by giving the audience an idea of what it will

contain. By using words like sensitive it makes the model appear attractive to the audience, presenting him as a lovely and kind person. The text is in bond, making it easy for the audience to indicate where the interview starts. When something is in bold it suggests importance, making the audience focus on this part of the page. Rule of thirds The rule of thirds has been used here to make the layout appear organised and professional. This supports the professional posing of the model and also the font used rear the masthead. However the two images placed within the text disturbs the layout which could potentially make the text hard to read. The pull quote/ main heading The pull quote were a bit like the inbetweeners is interesting, comical and lures you in, by making you question why the band is like the inbetweeners. To the audience one direction are seen as heart throbs however in contrast the inbetweeners are commonly seen as being geeky, making the audience surprised and shocked at this statement. However as the audience are youth aged 12-15 they may not know who the inbetweeners are which could potentially make them uninterested to find out who they are. The page number This is one of the main key conventions in a magazine. They have used this to allow the audience to right their desired page fast in, allowing the audience to have a relaxed read. Here the page number are in black which has connotations of being powerful, emphasizing its importance. The font is in bold which adds to this whilst also making it look attractive to the audience.

The Colours

Analysis Of We Love Pop Magazine

The colour blue seems to be a continuous theme throughout the magazine; however I can see that the shade is slightly different. Here they have used a light blue which had connotations of being calm and quiet, suggesting that this interview may focus on love or relationships. This links to how calm and friendly the models facial expressions look which adds to the calm and friendly atmosphere the magazine creates. The colour blue also denotes males, creating a direct link to the model. On the other hand the shade of blue used is quite feminine which would attract the audience due to them being females. The soft and innocent blue is contrasted with the yellow which is used to highlight some of the text this suggests importance deriving away from the main image and to the text. The masthead The masthead is small in the corner which allows for the image and the story to take the full control. The audience at this point would be familiar with the masthead therefore this isnt as important. There is a sophisticated font next to the masthead in the left hand corner. This makes it seem more grown up like the model, adding seriousness to the article. Other images The slanted images add an informal feel; taking away some of the seriousness created by the sophisticated font style rear the masthead. These also give the audience variety to what they can look at, attracting the audience due to them stereotypically being lazy, not wanting the read a lot of text. The poses in both of the images look adult and professional. By the magazine doing this it would make the audience also feel more growth up which is valued due to the way younger people commonly see themselves, being too young to involve themselves in the adult world.

The main image The medium close up of the model is clear due to the text being primarily on the other page. This would be big enough to cut out, becoming a potential poster for the audience. By doing this it makes the audience feel more connected to the magazine whilst also telling the audience that the magazine has thought about their interests and personalities in order to make the audience feel valued. He is also smiling and again like the front cover is staring right at the reader. By doing this it would make the audience feel special and close to the star, enticing them to read about the interview.

Arrow Instead of using a drop capital the magazine has used an arrow to start the interview. This could be seen to link in with the band (one direction) but also could be seen as the magazine trying to be unique in order to attract the modern and fresh audience. This has been used throughout, showing consistency in the magazine.
