Ferdinand Blumentritt

is a lecturer, teacher and principal in a secondary school at Litomerice. He is the closest friend of Jose Rizal and considers him as a SOUL MATE .

Juan Luna
A Filipino painter, sculptor and a political activist of the Philippine Revolution during the late 19th century. He became one of the first recognized Philippine artists.

Antonio Luna
a Filipino pharmacist and general who fought in the PhilippineAmerican War. He was also the founder of the Philippines's first military academy, which existed during the First Philippine Republic. He was regarded as the most brilliant of the Filipino military officers during the war. Succeeding Artemio Ricarte as commander of the Philippine Revolutionary Army, he organized professional guerrilla soldiers later to be known as the Luna sharpshooters. His threetier defence, now known as the Luna Defence Line, gave the American troops a hard campaign in the provinces north of Manila.

Marcelo H.Del Pilar


Better known by his pen name Plaridel, was a Filipino writer, lawyer, and journalist. He was the second and last editor of the La Solidaridad (Solidarity), the newspaper of the Reform Movement in Spain.

Mariano Ponce
A Filipino physician, writer, and active member of the Propaganda Movement. In Spain, he was among the founders of La Solidaridad and Asociacion Hispano Filipino. Among his significant works was Efemerides Filipinas, a column on historical events in the Philippines which appeared in La Oceania Espaola (18921893) and El Ideal (19111912). He wrote Ang Wika at Lahi (1917), a discussion on the importance of a national language. He served as Bulacan's representative to the National Assembly.

Trinidad Pardo De Tavera


is a historian and a Filipino physician. Rizal met Trinidad in Paris and he stayed at Trinidad's home. His home is the gathering or meeting place of their group known as "Los Indios Bravos".

Philippine history for having been an acquaintance and inspiration for members of the Philippine reform movement which included Jos Rizal, Marcelo del Pilar, Mariano Ponce and Graciano Lpez Jaena, although he neither involved himself directly in that movement, nor later associate himself with the First Philippine Republic under Emilio Aguinaldo.
