I had been taking up tutions for kids since I was in standard 8th myself.

The students who came to me usually were from under-privileged and not so good to do families. Therefo re during my final year of graduation I took it upon myself to help out these kids to achieve good scores i n their final exams, meanwhile I was also preparing for my finals for the first semester that were due after one month from their examinations. It was December, 2011 and their exams were due after 2 months fro m then. The children were good enough to achieve 50-60 percent at most, but for students of standard 10t h it was mere a formality to score such marks. The reason being that their future was directly proportional to their scores this time around. The children were under a lot of stree so I had to fill up enthusiasm inste ad of this pressure to let them put a foot forward in this endeavour of theirs. Their had to be a good but rel axed regime to follow in order to achieve the target. As well I had to contemplate on it that they may not f eel exhausted as well. It was a task at hand for me. I had started on a very soft note with taking up extra half an hour daily for them. He good thing was that t hey were understanding. The most difficult part during this period for me was that I had to concentrate on their studies, meanwhile not losing put focus of mine. The other force against me was that the children us ed to come after 5pm, so it wouldn't had been possible for me to take up extra time after that. Infact it also meant that they would miss out any time that they would gt to enjoy themselves. It meant tha t somehow I was acting against the external forces. Thus, I realised that it would become quite hard for m e to tackle a lot of things at a given time. The most unexpected turn for me was the illness of my mother. My father had passed away in 2008, so we were the only two at home. If she fell ill I had to manage the f ood and other stuff around as well. It was a rather unforunate part I had to deal with. The difficulties were ample, but as the good old saying goes 'Where there is a will, there is a way', I knew someway I would be able to manage all this. First part was regularised time for children so as to keep the m active, for this I planned them to change the timings for tutions. Thy started coming at 3:30 pm, this wa y I would have extra time with them. The second thing was having lunch for them at home, so they do not get nauseous. The next part was my studies, I chalked out schedule starting from 9pm -11pm to study. Th ese helped me out in also have time to take care of household works meanwhile my mother could rest. Conclusion of your harwork shows the hard work put in by you. The same goes with my plan. The childre n secured a first division scoring more than 70 percent overall, meanwhile I got 75 percent in my final yea r making it a double treat for me. The feeling was overwhelming for me, I still remember those children a nd their parents with teary eyes. That feeling could have no substitute at all in this entire world. I took pride in myself thinking that I could be a help for someone who need it more than a lot who have it.

I have been a tutor for children aged between 10-17. These include the students from standard 4th till 10th , coming from various schools affliated to CBSE, ICSE and State Boards. I carried this activity since I w as in standard 8th till my first year in Graudation. I had been an active part of a Catholic Community for 3 years in my Graduation period under the guidanc e of Jesus Youth organisation, working for various needs of under privileged section be it educational, fin ancial or religious.
