    Junya Ishigami is a Japanese architect born in 1974 who established his own firm, junya.ishigami+associates, in 2000 after working for Kazuyo Sejima & Associates. Some of his notable works include the Kanagawa Institute of Technology campus in Tokyo from 2006-2008, where he aimed to create flexible, ambiguous boundaries and equality between whole and individual spaces using columns, furniture and plants. He also designed the Japan pavilion for the 2008 Venice Biennale.
