4. How long will a person need to have $6000 invested before the amount in the account is $10 000 if the interest rate is 5.25% p.a. compounded annually?

5. Sara made a deposit into an investment account at the beginning of 1998. The investment account attracted an interest rate of a constant 6.25% per annum. She found that at the beginning of January 2001, she had a total of $25 000 in the account. How much money did she deposit initially?

Calculate the value of an investment of $15 000 if the money is deposited at: a) 4 years at 6% per annum compounded continuously b) 8 years at 5.5% per annum compounded continuously c) 45 months at 7.25% per annum compounded continuously. 7.
