NOTICE OF VACANCIES The following positions are now open for application under the Communications Group of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP). SENIOR WRITER AND EDITOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) (2) (3) (4) Write and edit improve press releases, speeches, statements, messages, reports, and other communication materials Manage the writers assignments Ensure the timely submission of all required content Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head and Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS o A graduate of a 4-year Communications course o Has at least 4 years work experience in the field of news writing o Has an excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills

MEDIA RELATIONS OFFICER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) Provide media coordination such as organizing and facilitating press conferences, press briefings, interviews/guestings, and press/media events Forge strong media relations to increase positive media mileage of OPAPPs activities and events, as well as the agency's programs and campaigns Monitor and validate reports and events related to the peace process Mobilize media as needed Prepare media briefers, press kits, and media giveaways for press events Supervise/handle special projects and activities that may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head and Operations Manager

QUALIFICATIONS o At least a graduate of a 4-year Communications course o Has at least 3 years work experience in the field of media relations o Has a strong connection with media practitioners especially those in the Defense beat and FOCAP o Has an excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills

GRAPHIC ARTIST KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) (2) (3) Provide designs and different types of layouts and illustrations, web design layout, and typography Provides creative designs, concepts, and layouts for information, education, and communication (IEC) materials Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head and Operations Manager

QUALIFICATIONS o A graduate of Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or any related field o Awareness of current trends in the visual arts o Able to produce quality work and meet deadlines o Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!

TRANSCRIPTIONIST AND NEWS MONITOR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) (7) Monitor news and advertisements related to OPAPP and PAMANA, as well as peace and security issues Submit monitoring reports regularly Record high-profile news and transcribe content Document, archive, and file all monitored news in a highly organized system Write news analyses and communication briefers as needed Flag flashpoints as reflected in news Supervise/handle special projects and activities that may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head and Operations Manager

QUALIFICATIONS o A graduate of a 4-year Communication Course; o Preferably with 1 year work experience in the field of news/media monitoring; o Has excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills o Fresh graduates are welcome to apply!

SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) (2) Spearhead the conceptualization and implementation of communications plans; Identify and develop IEC materials and communication activities that will enable the agency to achieve its communication goals and objectives; Provide support to the agency in the planning and implementation of communication strategies; Write effective media releases Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head, Operations Manager, and Head Editor

QUALIFICATIONS o A graduate of a 4-year Communications course o With at least 3 years work experience in the field of development communications and advocacy work o Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills o Willing to travel, particularly in the ARMM and nearby provinces

IEC SPECIALIST KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) Identify IEC materials that will enable the agency to achieve its communication goals and objectives; Develop IEC strategies that complement the communication strategies; Conceptualize effective IEC materials and coordinate its production; Facilitate the delivery of IEC requirements of partners/stakeholders; Monitor the supply and demand of IEC materials; and Supervise/handle special projects and activities as may be assigned from time to time by the Unit Head, Operations Manager, and Head Editor

QUALIFICATIONS o Graduate of a 4-year Communications course o With at least 3 years work experience in the field of development communications and advocacy work o With at least 2 years work experience in writing and editing IEC materials o Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
