The inevitability of corruption is eminent in todays governance.

The morality attached therewith is ghastly that most if not all notices them. While those in power remain rich, the populace succumb to desperateness. More cries of change are heard. But dignitaries unmindful of their pleas continue the legacy of taking advantage of their positions in the government. Worst everyone seems to partake this rude legacy. For even those who neither elected nor had holding power perfected the art of deceit. With their cronies, the systematic transactions involve are another mind-blowing reality. It was early July this year, that news on PDAF scam, or commonly known as Pork Barrel caught the eyes of the public. The outrage of the masses was apparent. Netizens and ordinary people alike have gone wild, displaying cries for transparency. They asked for answers before this government, on how their taxes supposedly for defraying the government expenses had gone to calloused individuals. While those who toil for food, while those sweat for education, while those who give their life for a simple yet descent living, these few individuals amassed their money for personal gains. No wonder thousands have displayed their cries during the Luneta rally. No wonder that up to now, already months have passed the same weeps are heardan answer. However, while the investigation is pending before investigating panels, I cannot help but ask where this investigation will lead us? Apparently, due process is practiced. Considering however the recent development, the search for answer is becoming vague and far tenable. Not that I do not trust the judicial process, but because of distrust to people surrounding the investigation. For how can man have trust on them, while they are the ones whom we accuse and blame of deceit? Primarily, this is the reason why, if an ordinary person is asked for an opinion with regard to this scandal, answers in negative and desperateness. He utters of no one to be prosecuted in the end. Such shameful images of these politicians, such a pitiful government, I commend. I believe total eradication of Pork Barrel is the answer to every politicians greediness. A simple renaming of PDAF, for whatever purpose it may serve will not undo the lost trust and wealth of the people. For as long as this recent political system is standing, the same effect will follow. I do not wish to see every man on the street rallying for a change. I do not wish our government to fall. But I do wish that changes in the government should be entertained. I do wish that every Filipino people learn that their votes are sacred, that it cannot be bought. For if to be dissected, the root of this evil is the selection of persons who hold government office. Most if not all of us, ask why this happened, but the cause of the evil cause is uswe who choose thief among thieves. Socrates once said, if a man is proud of his wealth, he should not be praised until it is known how employs it. Parallel to this, if the wealth of the Filipino people had been employed to its basic needs, how worthy are these politicians of praises. With this, I rest my case hoping for a better country.
