ACT OF LOVE Shelly and Arshdeep Under Shreyas shadow we tried spreading smiles , laughter and greenery by doing few things at our level. We brought 10 saplings and gifted them to few of our friends and neighbours. And also planted some of them in our houses. So this way we tried playing some of our part towards the environment. We took a small cake , chocolates and eatables for some unprivileged kids. We spent some time playing football with them and gifted them footballs. Those smiles on their faces literally made us so happy. We contributed in the education of Shellys maids son who is going to start his schooling this year. We also got him a school bag , a pencil box , a lunch box and some other stationery items. THANK YOU SHREYA FOR INTRODUCING ACT OF LOVE IN OURLIVES.YOU MAKE US A BETTER PERSON. LOVE YOU.

Chiranjeet Act of Love

Act Of Love Chiranjeet Kolkata, the shinning metro city, is known as The City of Joy but a large number of people live here without any kind of joy. Nowadays Kolkata have experienced the worst side of poverty. I have always wished to do something for these people but I dont have any kind of power or ability to do some big things so I planned to spend some time with some road-side poor child who are the most unfortunate people because they were born & grew up on the roads, always seeing the other childrens go to school, happy with their parents, playing games but they dont know the meaning of school, they dont know about games, they dont know about education and they dont know about relations. I got a dozen of such children on the footpath of Phoolbagan area of Kolkata just outside the Pantaloons mall, spent an hour with them, got to know them and I gave them food, sweets & chocolates for their lunch. I understood one thing that the best feelings of life is when you makes someone happy. Though just for a little phase of a day but at least I made them happy for once. They dont know anything about culture but they know the language of love like us, when I distributed foods among them, they smiled at me & thanked me indirectly which I could feel from my heart. In a word, it was one of the greatest day and one of the beautiful experience for me. Thank you so much Melody Queen (SG) to taught us the actual meaning of Love by your #ActOfLove. J Its my biggest pleasure to be a part of this holy work.

Act of love A rainbow reflects happiness and is real treat to see but there is more immense happiness and satisfaction if we pick a pinch from those bunch of the joyous colours and add it in the lives of some heart wrenching souls to make them colourful you made us realize it or else we would have remain deprived from that inexperienced happiness. Komal Act of Love

For my act of love I decided to make a positive difference to someones life and teach my maid's daughter who does not go to school. She was feeling shy to come and learn. I kept asking her daily and finally she agreed. I use to teach one more girl whose parents are laborers and even she doesnt go to school. She stopped coming as she went to her village. Luckily she has come back and wants to continue with her classes. Thank you Shreya di. Since long I wanted to start this and finally I could do. Love you

We Went to a Aashram Called AMAITHI ILLAM which is run by a couple Consisting around 60 children from school going to coll going ..Thier main aim is to educate those children. We went there and With a cake and Celebrated SG's birthday with them and they prayed alot for sg's and her family's well bieng . Then we played a couple of games with them (musical Chairs ,passing the parcel etc and also had fun dancing and singing with them. Later Prathiba and Myself (Ruqaiyah) took up a responsiblity to sponser a child until She completes her higher studies. she is in 2nd Standard student atm. Act of Love A special act to bring smile and ray of hope in the lives of those in need. I was accompanied by Riya Banerjee (@riyabanerjee1) and Soumya Das (@loveushreyadi) to carry out this special act. We had distributed sarees and sweets among three economically backward aged lady. Two among three ladies were pre-selected. We gave away those materials of daily needs to them at some nearby palces. Happiness on their faces were a treat to see. One of them, a lady who begs on the foot bridge of a station was reduced to tears .. tears of joy. That was a priceless treasured moment. We were hopping between stations in search of one more such person. All of a sudden, a lady begging in a local train caught our sight. She was hardly able to walk. As soon as we hand over her that saree and sweets, she was shocked to the core in happiness. When something is wished with a pure heart, it has to happen. Later on we went to a nearby primary school having some 22 students from financially backward families. As taken pre-permission from the head of that school, we distributed copies, pencils, erasers and chocolates among those little students. Their excitement were at the peak. The head teacher praised Shreya Ghoshal and us for helping out people in need. All thanks to our inspiration Shreya Ghoshal for guiding and staying beside us always J - Debdatta Pal (@debdatta18)

In government schools they are least bothered to take care of their small needs. Its a free school so their parents simply sending their children to schools without any sufficient needs. I thought of helping them to give books, pens and pencils.!! Thank god atleast their parents sending them to schools J Hope I will do many act of love in future!! J So proud of you!! I am a Dental Student , a passionate dancer nowhere connected to Music but My Idol is a Musician Shreya Ghoshal because of the person she is Dedicated , Grounded , Selfless, Respectful , Lovable. Long back when I heard her voice I fell in Love with it and became a fan ,only after becoming a fan I came to know more about her through interviews , articles.. and thats when from a Shreya Ghoshal fan I became a Shreya Ghoshal Devotee. HOW SHREYA GHOSHAL HAS INFLUENCED MY LIFE Shreya Ghoshal This name is enough to give me goosebumps. I seriously thank God for bringing her in my life. Life has become beautiful because of Shreya Ghoshal s presence in it. Blessed I am to have her as my inspiration. Her positive attitude towards life..her selfless nature..her dedication towards everything she does is something which inspires me a lot. Today..if I want to learn music..is only because of her. And Im sure like me..there are many who want to learn music because of her. Her voice spreads positivity. My day starts with her voice and ends with her voice. Her songs are my best friend. They are with me ALWAYS..no matter what ! I have tararumpum when I need motivaton and Chikni Chameli to dance on when Im happy. I feel like Im in some another world while listening to her songsand that world is filled with love and hope. She has taught me that no matter what you become..how successful you become but never forget the efforts done by your parents and everyone behind your success. SHREYA GHOSHAL The name itself gives me goose bumps. Though I have written many articles about my devotion towards Shreya di but this one is surely very special as its going to be included in the SG Family eBook. Ever since the songs of Shreya Ghoshal came in my life, all the aspects of my life have changed in a positive manner. It was in 2002 when my cousin sister used to play the songs of Devdas everyday. Though I was just 10, I felt some divine energy in this voice. There was a spark which I had never seen before in anyones voice. Just by hearing her voice, I could sense that she is so immersed in music and her dedication was clearly seen in her voice. Since that day, I became her crazy devotee. I had no computer or internet with me that time. So I used to run to the music stores everyday to check whether Shreya has sung any song in the upcoming movies or not. I remember when the track lists of the movies were not available, how I used to hear each and every song of new movies just to find her voice in them (exactly the way a fish strives for water). I saw her for the first time when she won IIFA award for Jadoo Hai and the way she spoke showed her down to earth nature. I was in 7th standard when Devdas released. I remember how I used to throw my bag after coming from school and hear her songs. Finally, on 30th August 2006, my father got me a computer. Obviously, my first search on Internet was ofcourse, Shreya Ghoshal!! I heard all her Tamil songs that very day. I remember she had sung 46 Tamil songs that time. It was my target to hear all her regional songs as soon as possible (unless I got scolded by my parents every night for waking up late and hearing her songs). Then I joined all her orkut communities and I used to update about her new songs regularly. This continued and finally Shreya joined Twitter in 2009 and I could not believe my eyes when I got her first reply saying Dear Nishant, I am very much aware that its you. Thanks for all the wonderful words you use for me. Hope I keep on inspiring you. I could not even dream of it that one day, my idol herself would tweet me. It has truly been Gods grace. And then 21st October 2009 came (the best day of my life) when I met Shreya di for the very first time. It still feels like a dream. On that day, she named me as her biggest fan. Shreya di has always been very humble and kind to her fans and this is what I like the most about her. I can actually write a book on this. I just want to say that Shreya di You are the person I have ever met or interacted with. My love for you emerges from the bond I share with your voice. With your songs, through your voice I wonderfully got connected to you. It is through your voice, your songs that I have smiled, laughed , loved, enjoyed, cried, became sad ,happy, and experienced different emotions with it. I remember the first time I met you on 23rd oct 2010. You had a foot injury and inspite of so much pain, even when you were unable to walk, you came to perform all the way from Mumbai. This movie had one of Shreyas most phenomenal song Pal Pal Har Pal. The first time I noticed Shreyas gorgeous voice was when I saw this movie. Her beautiful voice stirred all my emotions. During the time the song was playing I thought about how unique and lovely of a voice this singer has. The singer had touched my soul. That day will stay in my memory for eternity. During the next few years I discovered the name of this enchanting singer; Shreya Ghoshal. At that moment in time I started to precisely only pick Shreya Ghoshal songs to listen to. Every song I ever listened to or downloaded was most certainly a Shreya Ghoshal song. After obsessing over her voice, I wanted to see who Shreya Ghoshal actually was. I was mind blown when I googled her. She is such an interesting person, who has worked so hard throughout her whole life. \ 24th February 2013. The day my dream of meeting the one and only Shreya Ghoshal who I wake up and go to sleep listening to; came true. While I was waiting, I again went over to my family friend to ask when I was meeting her and he said in the break and I couldn't hold my excitement!We waited for a while and then she came on stage... I screamed so much and cried I almost lost my voice not even exaggerating! She started off with teri meri and sang all her soulful songs so beautiful and accompanying her was hrishikesh ranade who i thought was fabulous because it needs a lot of courage to sing with shreya ghoshal! Then it was break time and I walked over to one of the organisers chirag pareikh and explained to him who i was and he said i was going to meet her in the first 10 minute of the 2nd half when shreya was going to be off stage but unfortunately heaps of people heard what he said to me . So after the break, they all went and lined up to meet her and even ran past the security who couldn't hold them back so by the time the organisers managed to get me back stage shreya didi was waiting behind the blind to go on stage. chirag uncle told me to go to her and her say hi so i went i tapped her and she turned around and smiled at me and went off to stage while her manager pulled me back. i was crying so much because i thought that i couldn't meet her and i begged the organisers and i just cried for the second half of the concert.the magical moment was when 5 minutes before the show was about to end, one of the organisers called me backstage and took me to the backdoor through which they were going to take her out as soon as she came off stage. i couldn't believe it and i was crying so much and i could hear her sing mere dholna then say bye to brisbane and come off stage. all of a sudden i saw the door open and with all the organisers there she was. My idol, my inpiration, role model, my everything and I couldn't believe it. I literally went numb. She came over to me and patted me and hugged me because she saw how happy and shocked i was and then i started crying away (tears of happiness :') ) while she asked me my name and i said senjuti then she asked me if i was bengali or not and i said yes and she said oh good! then i told her i tweet to her all day and she looked at her dad and had a LOL moment. the organisers and my family friend then told her that i sing and i'm a huge huge fan and she said come lets go outside in the light so we can get an awesome picture and so i can listen to you sing one line! but the organisers said that it wasn't possible cause there were so many fans who would mob her. then my family friend took the pic but i was scared to hug her and then everyone said give her the biggest hug of your life and i did and that's my dp guys!! then i was just crying and saying that i can't believe that it's truly her and she said awww how sweet and she said well i have to go now! she kept walking away and one of the organisers said i had to walk out the same way so no one knew that i met her and when leaving, she was waiting to go into the lift leaning against the wall because the poor girl was exhausted and i waved to her and she waved back smiled and said bye! i walked out ran to my mum and gave her the biggest hug and nearly fainted because i was sweating so much. i couldn't believe it and i didn't sleep at all that whole week! one of my dreams actually came true!

I can still remember the day when I first saw you live.A little shy girl who was suffering from stage sickness. But when she started singing the melody of her voice stunned every one. Such a sweet powerful voice. I was aware of your singing ability before that through your bengali modern songs album but attending your concert I got much more attracted to your voice. I am older than you by age but I worship your voice. Three years back I had to go to some place which was far away from my home. I had to stay there with bare minimum amenities.I was very lonely and depressed then. There was no TV, music system or any other kind of entertainment. Your songs, interviews,live performances and tv shows were my only entertainment which helped me to remain sane otherwise I wouid have been a psychological patient. At that time I came to know about your twitter involvment. I opened an account on twitter. I was so novice at that time that I did not know how to use it. I started following you and some members of sgfamily. Your tweets and their interaction used to make me happy. Many hours of a day had been spent reading tweets, sitting with my laptop. By this I got back my childhood days. I have listened to so many Shreya Ghoshals songs before but this song totally made me her devotee Tujh mein rab dikhta .This beautiful song actually changed my life, made it better ,and topped it with happiness .I can say this Music is the expression of lifeand my Goddess Shreya Ghoshal is the true expresser of Music .I kept on searching for her songs and most of my favourites were sung by her. There are so many singers( basically born with the mother tongue of north-indian languages) but I found only Shreya Ghoshal with perfect pronunciations in south-indian songs. She is truly down to earth. She is a person who could be chosen as role-model. She is one among the successful women in this world. I entered most of the social-networks mostly to know about her. I got a chance to share bonhomie with other SGians. Even if God asks what is your last wish I would say I want to see my Goddess and listen to her sing live. Being in born in orthodox family I dont have exposure of parties, concerts etc. Even Music is not allowed in home. I break the rule and keep fighting for my needs (That divine Music). Shreya Ghoshal, this name is enough to describe the greatness of an amazing personality. I think, no words can express her, her talent, her awesomeness, she is beyond of every words but I just want to share my own feelings about this great lady. I watched the reality show Saregama Junior in 1996 where an amazing junior talent named Shreya Ghoshal participated with many other surprising talents. I cannot remember that show properly, just remember that the Great Singer Sonu Nigam hosted the show and Shreya Ghoshal won it. But I clearly remember the 1999-2000s reality show Saregamapa of Seniors where Shreya not only won the music journey, but also she own a million hearts including some big names of Music Industry and I m also fall in love with her voice. And from that very day dont know why, I was started to think her as my best friend, I dreamed to learn singing and sing with her but I am unable to learn music due to some family problem & my dream still just only a dream. I made no best friend in college life coz I thought her as my best friend and I always talk with her photos, sing with her while listening her song and believe me she is really my best friend who always gives me smile, happiness, love and everything good, never hurt me, to me she is the most important person of my life who only matters to me, I m mad and crazy fan of her voice but I m not her fan, to me she is always my best friend. I never celebrate my birthday but I celebrated her birthday since 2005 which is the most important day of the year for me. The most unfortunate thing for me is I couldnt meet her yet. Hope will meet her soon. I wrote many Bengali & Hindi poems on her which I eagerly want to show her. In college life on exam days I never prayed to God, I always listen her song just before the start of the exam and worship her.
