Great Value Purified Water

Target Audience:
Cheap people of all ages.

Brief History
The Great Value brand was originally launched by Wal-Mart in 1993 to give their customers an opportunity to save even more money. On average this private brand saves customers from 5% to 20%, so for penny pinchers, this was an excellent option. However, the brand didnt take off to well at first due to customers being able to tell the difference between the regular products. In 2009 the Great Value brand was re-launched with new and improved products. This time providing high quality grocery and household items, the brand took off.

Redesign Idea
To increase sales and brand awareness, the plan is to make the packaging more appealing. The logo is already great, but the packaging lacks a little design. It is understandable that in order to keep the prices low, the cost to manufacture must be low. So more color will not be implemented, this so the printing cost wont go up. What will be done is the typography and design factors will be modified. A great design does not need to have all the colors of the rainbow; it just needs a solid foundation of design principles of which will be applied to the packaging. By doing this, customers that usually skipped over these products due to the lack of design, will be more compliant to purchase the product.

Logo

Placement
The logo should be used with the Walmart Dark Blue color. It should be in color whenever it is printed on a product. With the positioning of the logo, it should be aligned right. This will make it stand out aside from the description of the product. With the spacing, you should be able to fit the tm on all sides. So it doesnt have to be too spaced, but with using the tm as a guide you will be able to space it just right.
