I. About COMEDK
1. COMEDK is the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka to determine the merit of students seeking admissions to the undergraduate courses in the Member Institutions of the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation Trust (KPCF) in its endeavor to offer an effective, fair, transparent and non-exploitative testing procedure. There are 14 Medical, 25 Dental and more than 150 engineering colleges who make available almost 20,000 seats for admission. 2. COMEDK has been assigned the task of organizing a Common Entrance Test for the academic year 2014-2015. The COMEDK Entrance Test being considered as an exercise to shortlist an inter-se merit of candidates for grant of admission in a fair and transparent manner. The publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralized counseling (Single window system) in so far as Member Institutions are concerned. The details will be published in due course on our website, www.comedk.org. 3. As stated above, COMEDK being an Agency to conduct entrance test followed by centralized counseling, all admissions in respect of candidates who have selected the seats would be at the level of colleges concerned. The admissions to be made by the colleges after receiving the final list of candidates will have to be approved by the Regulating Agencies like concerned Universities etc. set up by the State Government. 4. COMEDK responsibility is only to ensure fair and transparent evaluation of merit followed by single window counseling. Issues and grievances if any subsequent to the selection of seats is the responsibility of the concerned college to which the candidate is allotted and the Regulatory Agencies. 5. COMEDK having thus become functus officio after seat selection process does not take responsibility with regard to admission, refund of fees etc. when once it forwards the list of selected candidates based on entrance test followed by single window centralized counseling and as such the candidates and others cannot subsequently set up any grievance against COMEDK. To this effect, a declaration is required to be made both by the candidate and/or his / her parents / guardians at the time of counseling. 6. Applicants are advised to read this brochure thoroughly and familiarise themselves with the test procedures. COMEDKs website www.comedk.org contains information and current updates/alerts. This site is updated regularly. COMEDK suggests all applicants to visit it frequently for relevant information.

III. The Hyderabad - Karnataka Region Development Board Order - 2013


7. The 98th amendment to article 371 (J) of the constitution of India aims at providing reservations for the residents of six districts of the HyderabadKarnataka in the State namely Gulbarga, Yadgir, Bellary, Bidar, Raichur and Koppal. Consequently the Governor of Karnataka by virtue of powers vested in him has issued the Karnataka Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission in the Hyderabad Karnataka Region) Order 2013, vide notification number DPAR06 PLX2012 dated 06th November 2013 is available on our website (www.comedk.org) separately. Consequently, in respect of Medical, Dental, Engineering and Architecture Colleges located in the above six districts of the area and in respect of other colleges located across the State appropriate reservations will be made available to the candidates of Local Area as per the clauses 3, 6 and 7 of the said order. Note: Necessary certificates required to claim Local Area reservation would be notified shortly and the candidates desire of claiming the said reservation shall produce these certificates before the counseling process commence.

IV. Eligibility Criteria


(A). MBBS / BDS
8. As per the Regulations of Medical/Dental Council of India, the qualifying examination prescribed for admission to MBBS/BDS is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. Page 5 of 41

9. The General Merit candidates must have passed these subjects (PCB) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB (40% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State); they must also secure not less than 50% marks (40 % in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in aggregate in PCB in the Common Entrance Test of COMEDK UGET-2014. 10. English is one of the subjects to be tested along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology during COMEDK UGET-2014 and the General Merit candidates should secure not less than 50% marks in English, (40 % in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State). However, the marks so secured in English will not be added for the determination of rank list as the rank list will be drawn exclusively based on the minimum required marks secured by the candidates in PCB; further, a candidate is not entitled for a rank if he/she fails to secure 50% or 40% (in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) of marks in English. The paper on English language will be normally of 2nd PUC or 10+2 standard and will test the candidates comprehension of the language, the structure of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences. 11. The candidates shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December (31/12/2014) of the year of admission to the MBBS/BDS course. 12. Similarly, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination i.e. 2nd PUC or 10+2 prior to 2012 NEED NOT APPLY. 13. If a candidate/s on being qualified earlier, and had selected a MBBS seat in an earlier COMEDK UG entrance test and has failed to join the college selected without surrendering the seat at the COMEDK level or if the said candidate having joined the college failed to pursue his / her education such candidates are NOT PERMITTED to apply for COMEDK UGET-2014.

(B). B.E:
14. As per the existing norms of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), the qualifying examination prescribed for admission to B.E. is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent Examination recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with English as a compulsory subject. 15. The General Merit Candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any other Technical vocational Page 6 of 41

courses as one of the optional subjects. However, if there are any changes in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE, the same will be adopted. 16. An attempt in the Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the Rank list. NOTE: Diploma Candidates are not eligible to take COMEDK UGET-2014 entrance test.

(C). B. Arch:
17. The qualifying examination prescribed for admission to B. Arch is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent Examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka). 18. The candidate should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 for both General Merit and Category Candidates. Note: i) COMEDK will not be conducting any Common Entrance Test for candidates seeking admission to B. Arch (Architecture Course) as per its existing rules. ii) Candidates seeking B. Arch seats should submit separate application form along with a DD of Rs. 1,000/- in favour of COMEDK.

V. About Member Institutions


19. There are in all 14 medical, 25 dental and more than 150 unaided, private engineering colleges which are members of COMEDK, across the State of Karnataka and which offer various courses in Medical, Dental or Engineering studies at Under-Graduate level. The courses offered at the Under-Graduate level include MBBS, BDS or B.E programs. Colleges have indicated their willingness to make admission to their Under Graduate courses based on merit in the Common Entrance Test organized by COMEDK (COMEDK UGET-2014). Note: Minority status is applicable to candidates for admission to respective minority status colleges only. a) (*) Declaration once made in the application with regard to the category status like GM, (SC / ST / OBC of Karnataka) and Minority etc., will not be changed subsequently under any circumstances. The candidates are

cautioned to fill in the application form with great care about the category status. b) (*) Application forms without duly attested SC/ST/OBC (of Karnataka) and Minority Certificates shall be rejected. c) (*) If the category status (SC/ST/OBC of Karnataka and Minority) if any, is not mentioned in the application form but the certificates for the same is attached the changes of the category based on the certificates will not be done. d) If the category certificate is different and exclusive, such of the candidate shall submit not only the category certificate but also the caste and Income certificate issued by competent authority. (*) Note: i) The candidates whose application are rejected but who wish to reapply can fill up a fresh application with all the required documents along with the new Demand Draft and submit the same on or before the last date for making the application. The earlier sent Demand Draft (if any) will be returned to the candidate/s by speed post after the last date of the application receipt (i.e. 12/04/2014). ii) All the completed applications have to reach COMEDK office on or before 12/04/2014 before 5:00 PM any applications received after the last date WILL NOT BE PROCESSED AT ALL.

IX. COMEDK Under-Graduate Entrance Test 2014 (COMEDK UGET-2014)


24. The entrance test is being conducted for merit determination for use by COMEDK Member Institutions only. The COMEDK entrance test is mandatory for candidates seeking admissions for the Under-Graduate courses in these Institutions. The COMEDK UGET-2014 test scores are valid only for admissions during the academic year 2014-2015. Page 9 of 41

The COMEDK UGET-2014 will be conducted in Bangalore, Mysore and Tumkur districts of Karnataka State on Sunday the 11th May 2014.

X. Applicant Login
25. Applicant login gets activated only after the first stage of application processing is completed at COMEDK Office. 26. In addition, candidates have been provided with a facility to check the status of their application at various stages. The candidate will have to click on the link indicating Applicant Login in the COMEDK website under UGET-2014 link. 27. Candidates can login to the system by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth as mentioned in their application form. After the login is successful, the candidates will be provided with various information such as, ones application details, latest status of their application, provision to print Online Test Admission Ticket (Online TAT), Online Rank Card and other alerts / information as specific to the candidate. Note: The candidate is hereby cautioned to enter his/her date of birth as per the 10th Standard Marks card only.

XI. Online Test Admission Tickets and Related Information


28. Online Test Admission Ticket will be available under applicant login of the COMEDK website from 25/04/2014. Candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET2014 should download & obtain printout of the Online Test Admission Ticket (Online TAT) for taking the COMEDK UGET-2014 scheduled to be held on 11/05/2014. 29. No Test Admission Ticket will be dispatched either by post or courier or in person to the candidates under any circumstances. 30. Candidates will not be allowed to write the COMEDK UGET-2014 without the print out of Online Test Admission Ticket which is a mandatory document. 31. The Online Test Admission Ticket gives the details of test centre assigned to the candidate. The candidates are assigned a test centre which is system generated during the application processing itself, hence no requests for change in test centre would be considered. Page 10 of 41

32. Candidates are advised to go through the below mentioned instructions carefully before printing the Online Test Admission Ticket (TAT).

** Candidates have to use only Internet Explorer for downloading the Online

After taking the printout of Online Test Admission Ticket the candidates are cautioned to check the below mentioned details: (Online TAT without any of the below mentioned details will not be Valid to write COMEDK UGET 2014 Entrance Test.) 1. Test Admission Ticket number (TAT number). 2. Candidates Name (as mentioned in the application form). 3. Candidates Postal address and contact details (as mentioned in the application form). 4. Candidates photo (as given in the application form) which is digitally attested by COMEDK Authority. 5. Test centre details. 6. After the Entrance test is completed the provision for printing Online Test Admission Ticket will be disabled. XII. Test Scheme and Related Information


34. The Entrance Test COMEDK UGET-2014 is mandatory for all candidates seeking admissions to MBBS/BDS/B.E courses in Member Institutions of COMEDK. A merit / rank list is generated based on the candidate's scores in entrance test only. 35. COMEDK UGET-2014 will have the following papers: (i). For Engineering Course: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as one paper for three hours duration. (ii). For Medical and Dental Courses: Physics and Chemistry as one paper for two hours duration besides Biology and English as another paper for two hours duration. (iii). For Medical/Dental and Engineering courses (Both) : Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as one paper for three hours duration besides Biology and English as another paper for two hours duration. 36. 37. Candidates are required to mark their answers on an OMR Answer sheet (Optical Mark Reader). 38. Each correct answer is awarded one mark. 39. 42. The entrance test is based on the existing syllabus of either 10+2 or 2nd PUC.

XV. Test Locations


43. The COMEDK Entrance Test, COMEDK UGET-2014, will be held in Bangalore, Mysore and Tumkur districts of Karnataka State only. The test will be held on the mentioned time and date in all the test centres simultaneously. The details of all the test centres will be published online. XVI. Instructions for Test Takers


44. Candidates to please note: a) Report 60 minutes before the commencement of the test (9:00 AM). b) The Examination Hall will be opened 30 minutes before the commencement of the test. Candidates are expected to take their seats immediately. If the candidates do not report in time, they are likely to miss some of the general instructions. Page 13 of 41

c) The candidate must show, on demand, the Online TAT for admission in the Examination Hall. A candidate who does not possess the Online TAT of COMEDK shall not be allowed to write the Entrance Test. d) During the examination time, the invigilator will check the Online TAT of the candidates to satisfy himself / herself about the identity of each candidate. The invigilator will also put his/her signature in the place provided in the Online TAT and OMR Answer Sheet. e) In the Examination Hall the candidate must find and occupy his / her specific place checking for the TAT number which is pasted on the desk. If a candidate is found writing the test from a place which is not assigned to him/her, his/her candidature shall be cancelled. f) Test commences at 10:00 AM (Morning Session)

g) Fifteen minutes after the commencement of the test either during morning or afternoon sessions no candidates will be allowed to enter the examination hall to take the test. h) COMEDK is not responsible for any delay by any means of transportation to the city and reaching the test centre beyond the given time and also the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall and take the test in the event of delay. It is advisable to reach the Test Location a day prior to the examination. i) Candidates are advised in their own interest not to carry any of the personal computational devices, Bluetooth devices, cell phones, any electronic gadgets etc; to the venue of the examination as arrangement for safe keeping of the same cannot be assured. j) Candidates must not carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of papers, any electronic gadgets except the Online Test Admission Ticket, and a blue/black ball-point pen inside the Examination Hall. k) For those who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of the examination for any reason, re-examination shall not be held by COMEDK under any circumstances. l) It is mandatory for the candidate to bring his/her recent not older than 6 months passport size colour photograph during the conduct of COMEDK UGET2014. At the back of the photograph, candidate must mention his/her name, and TAT number.

46. OMR Answer sheet: All answers need to be registered on an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheet, which is machine read and evaluated. Candidates must use only black or blue ballpoint pen for marking their answers on the OMR Answer sheet. Use of pencils or erasers or whiteners is not permitted. a) OMR answer sheets will be supplied only at the examination hall. After the test is over, the answer sheet should be given back, before leaving the room. Candidates are allowed to take the candidates copy of the OMR answer sheet and the question booklet only on completion of the test duration time. b) Kindly note that the candidates must sign on their Online TAT and OMR answer sheets in the presence of the invigilator, after the invigilator has verified their TAT. Invigilators will also sign on the column indicating Invigilators Signature on the Online TAT and OMR answer sheets otherwise; the answer sheets will be invalid and not be considered for processing. c) The OMR Answer sheet contains the following fields which have to be filled neatly and accurately by the candidate with blue/black ball point pen only. Use of pencil on the OMR answer sheet is not allowed. OMR answer sheet filled in with pencil would be rejected for evaluation. d) The OMR answer sheet is machine assessed and therefore it should be handled with care. If there is any doubt, please contact the test invigilator immediately. e) The COMEDK UGET-2014 test administration is timed. The test session is designed to be completed within the specified time as indicated in this brochure and no compromise will be made on the set time limits. The Chief Superintendent of the test centre is the official timekeeper. Candidates (Test Takers) will not be permitted to continue the test beyond the established time limit. f) It is planned to use biometric verification during the test session (at the discretion of COMEDK). g) Candidates are not allowed to go out of the room even temporarily for any reason during the test duration.

XVII. Note to Parents / Guardians


47. Parents/Guardians are advised to ensure that their ward should not indulge in unfair means activities/malpractices which breach the examination rules. If any candidate is found to be indulging in any such activity he/she shall be debarred from taking this examination permanently in future and shall also be liable for criminal action and/or any other action deem fit by the COMEDK.

XVIII. Grounds for Dismissal


48. The COMEDK UGET-2014 test administrator is authorised to dismiss a candidate from a test session for: a) Attempting to take the test for someone else (Impersonation). b) Failing to provide acceptable identification proof when asked for c) Creating disturbance at the test venue. d) Giving or receiving unauthorised help. e) Using any forbidden/unauthorised testing aids, such as personal computational devices, Bluetooth devices, cell phones, any electronic gadgets etc., f) Leaving the test centre before the stipulated time.

XIX. Result Publishing


50. Provisional Answer Keys, Final Answer Keys (post challenge verification) and Test Scores of all the candidates will be published on the website, www.comedk.org as per the calendar of events. Clarifications, if any, should be sought within the dates stipulated. Subsequently the final result along with the Merit List will be published which will be binding on all candidates and no further claim would be entertained thereafter. (Please refer to the Calendar of Events for details). a) Provisional Answer Keys of COMEDK UGET-2014 will be published on the website only late in the evening, on 11/05/2014. b) Clarifications to the provisional answer keys, if any, should be sought between 12/05/2014 to 14/05/2014 (Communications received after 14/05/2014 will not be entertained). c) Final Answer Keys will be published on 24/05/2014. d) Test scores of COMEDK UGET-2014 will be published on 30/05/2014. e) Final Rank list will be published on 04/06/2014. 51. Applicants seeking any clarifications with regard to Provisional Answer Keys: a) Have to write to COMEDK (Ref: Annexure - II for format), clearly indicating the grievance and with all necessary enclosures in a prescribed format which can be downloaded from our website. b) Clarification regarding provisional answer key should reach to COMEDK office by speed post / courier along with a Demand Draft of Rs.300/- (Rupees Three Hundred) per clarification, drawn in favour of COMEDK, payable at Bangalore. 54. The final merit / rank list is generated based on the scores in the entrance test and the same will be published on 04/06/2014. 55. Candidates who have applied for Medical /Dental stream will not be eligible for a rank if they have not secured 50% marks in English paper in the COMEDK Entrance Examination (40% in case of SC/ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka)

INTER-SE MERIT
56. 58. Online Rank Card will be available under applicant login of the COMEDK website from 04/06/2014. Candidates appearing for COMEDK UGET - 2014 counseling should download & obtain a printout of the Online Rank card. 59. No Rank Card will be dispatched either by post or courier or in person to the candidates under any circumstances. 60. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the counseling venue without the print out of Online Rank Card which is a mandatory document. 61. XXII. Centralized Counseling (Single window)


62. Centralized Counseling (Single window) will be organised for selection of seats in MBBS, BDS, B.E and B. Arch courses. There will be two rounds of counseling. The First Round of Counseling will be scheduled from 13th June to 29th June 2014 and the Second and the Last Round of Counseling will commence from 8th July to 18th July 2014. 63. The COMEDK website www.comedk.org is updated regularly. COMEDK suggests all candidates to visit it frequently for relevant information.

XXIII. Biometric Verification


64. Candidates intending to take the Under-Graduate Entrance Test 2014 may be required to undergo biometric verification. (i) during the test, (ii) during centralized counseling for seat selection and (iii) at the college level, during the admission process. 65. To ensure fairness to the merited students and to eliminate fraudulent attempts, it is planned to use Biometric verification at various stages of the process and this would be done at the discretion of COMEDK. 66. COMEDK reserves the right to change (or) reset the Biometric verification parameters at any time during the selection process. 67. Any mismatch at any stage will automatically result in disqualification of the candidate and he/she will not be permitted to participate in any further process of seat selection and admission to UG course. Further, impostors are liable for criminal prosecution.

XXIV. Assistance / Facilities to candidates


68. In order to provide timely information to the candidates about their applications, or the entrance test, or the results thereof, COMEDK has made the following arrangements: 69. Q. What is the eligibility for the courses? (A). MBBS/BDS As per the Regulations of Medical/Dental Council of India, the qualifying examination prescribed for admission to MBBS/BDS is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent examination, recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with English as a compulsory subject. The General Merit candidates must have passed these subjects (PCB) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks taken together in PCB (40% in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State); they must also secure not less than 50% marks (40 % in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in aggregate in PCB in the Common Entrance Test of COMEDK UGET-2014. English is one of the subjects to be tested along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology during COMEDK UGET-2014 and the General Merit candidates should secure not less than 50% marks in English, (40 % in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State). However, the marks so secured in English will not be added for the determination of rank list as the rank list will be drawn exclusively based on the minimum required marks secured by the candidates in PCB; further, a candidate is not entitled for a rank if he/she fails to secure 50% or 40% (in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) of marks in English. The paper on English language will be normally of 2nd PUC or 10+2 standard and will test the candidates comprehension of the language, the structure of words, phrases, clauses, and sentences. The candidates shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December (31/12/2014) of the year of admission to the MBBS/BDS course. Similarly, the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination i.e. 2nd PUC or 10+2 prior to 2012 NEED NOT APPLY. If a candidate/s on being qualified earlier, and had selected a MBBS seat in an earlier COMEDK UG entrance test and has failed to join the college selected without surrendering the seat at the COMEDK level or if the said candidate having joined the college failed to pursue his / her education such candidates are NOT PERMITTED to apply for COMEDK UGET-2014.

(B). B.E:
As per the existing norms of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), the qualifying examination prescribed for admission to B.E. is 2nd Page 34 of 41

PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent Examination recognized by State / Central Government. The last two years of study shall comprise of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) with English as a compulsory subject. The General Merit Candidates should have passed with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in respect of SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and should have passed these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any other Technical vocational courses as one of the optional subjects. However, if there are any changes in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE, the same will be adopted. An attempt in the Entrance Test seeking admission to Engineering courses is considered adequate for figuring in the Rank list. NOTE: Diploma Candidates are not eligible to take COMEDK UGET-2014 entrance test.

(C). B. Arch:
The qualifying examination prescribed for admission to B. Arch is 2nd PUC or 10+2 higher secondary or equivalent Examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects along with other subjects or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by Central / State Government and having obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC, ST and OBC Candidates of Karnataka). The candidate should have appeared for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by Council of Architecture with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 for both General Merit and Category Candidates. Note: i) COMEDK will not be conducting any Common Entrance Test for candidates seeking admission to B. Arch (Architecture Course) as per its existing rules. ii) Candidates seeking B. Arch seats should submit separate application form along with a DD of Rs. 1,000/- in favour of COMEDK. Q. Are the admissions open only to Karnataka students? A. No. Admissions are open to all the students across the country. Q. Are candidates applying from outside the State of Karnataka eligible to get the benefit of lower eligibility qualifying marks? A. No, only Karnataka candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC are eligible to get the benefit of lower eligible qualifying marks provided the certificates as applicable issued by the competent authorities is furnished in support of the claim. Q. Are candidates applying from the Karnataka State eligible to get the benefit of lower eligibility qualifying marks? A. Yes, in the case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka can seek the benefit of lower eligibility in qualifying marks provided the certificates as applicable issued by the competent authorities is furnished in support of the claim. Q. I have finished my PUC/INTER/HSC/+2 a few years ago. Am I eligible for these courses? A. Yes. You can apply for the notified courses, if you fulfill the eligibility requirements as mentioned. Q. Is there an age limit for the course? A. Yes. He/she shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the MBBS/BDS course. (i.e., 31/12/2014) Q. I have completed my diploma course. Can I apply to COMEDK and its Member Institutions for 2nd year / 3rd semester? A. No. This notification is only for admissions to the 1st year/semester in MBBS, BDS and B.E Thus; you cannot apply for the 2nd Year (lateral entry scheme). Q. How will I know my test results? A. The results will be published in the web site as per the calendar of events. Q. When is the last date to apply? A. Completed application forms must reach the office of COMEDK on or before Saturday the 12/04/2014, by 5:00 PM. Applications received after the stipulated date and time will not be processed at all. Q. I wish to apply for Medical/Dental and Engineering courses. Should I apply for each of them separately or can I apply through a single application for both of them? A. You can apply to any/all of Medical/Dental and Engineering courses in a single application form. You can indicate your preferences for each of them in the same application form. You have to provide demand draft for Rs. 1,200 in case of you taking only MBBS/BDS (PCB) or B.E (PCM). In case you are taking all the four subjects MBBS/BDS and B.E (PCMB) you have to send a demand draft for Rs. 1500.

Q. Is there any minimum marks to be scored in COMEDK UGET-2014? A. MBBS/BDS: To become eligible for the rank the candidate has to get 50% marks in English (40% in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka) and then A candidate is required to secure a minimum of 50% marks in PCB in the COMEDK UGET-2014 (40 % in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates of Karnataka) to be eligible for admission to M.B.B.S/BDS. B.E: All candidates who have attempted in the entrance test will find a place in the merit list as per their performance, as there are no minimum marks fixed for the entrance test. Q. Can I send a black & white photograph? A. No, the Photograph to be provided has to be in colour and clear and should not be more than 6 months old. Application with smudged/tampered/hazy photograph will not be accepted. Q. If I have 5 clarifications in the provisional answer key, then do I send a DD of Rs.300 or Rs.1500? A. You have to send a single DD of Rs.1500. (Rs. 300 per clarification) along with the format Annexure II. Q. Would I get a refund for the amount, which I have sent along with my clarification/s? A. Yes, you would be entitled for a refund only if your clarification/s is/are upheld by the academic committee. Q. Where should the applications be sent and to whom should it be addressed? A.
