Thank you for purchasing your Home Broadband Indoor Modem
herein after referred to as Modem. It is a complete voice and
data Modem with built-in Wi-Fi functionality allowing users to
access internet wirelessly.

Getting to know your Modem

WiMAX

The indicators indicate the signal strength of the WiMAX
network. When all the LEDs are on, it indicates that the
signal strength is at the highest level.
One after the other in order
Software upgrade is under progress. Please do not
power off the modem or the software will be corrupted

inside the box, and follow the instructions.

POWER 1 The interface is used to connect to the power adapter.
TEL 2 The interface is used to connect the telephone line.
LAN 3
The interface is used to connect the Modem to the
computer using an Ethernet cable.
RESET 4 Caution: See later instructions on reset use.

Press this button to enable or disable the Wi-Fi

Place Modem near a window and connect the power cable and then
connect to the power socket. After two minutes, check the LEDs (see
image below). The number of LEDs lit up indicates the strength of the
signal. When all the LEDs are lit up means you have an excellent signal.
If less than three LEDs are lit, try placing the Modem at different
locations. Sometimes turning the Modem a little can improve your
signal strength.

Connect the telephone to the input labeled TEL using telephone
cable supplied. Once you hear the dial tone you can start to make
your voice calls.

Connect the Ethernet cable between your laptop and the LAN port
on the Modem.

Establish a Wi-Fi Connection:
You can remove the Ethernet cable between your laptop and the Modem.
Now establish a wireless network connection between your laptop
and the Modem.
Firstly you may need to activate the wireless function on your laptop
and then open View Available Wireless Networks.
Select your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and click Connect
Enter the Wi-Fi access password (up to 10 characters), conrm and
click OK.

To disable Wi-Fi functionality:
If you wish to disable the Wi-Fi functionality and use the Broadband
internet by directly connecting to the Modem using an Ethernet cable,
please follow the steps 5 and 6 and press Disable button under
Wi-Fi tab.
