LENT 2014 WORSHIP

In this second Sunday we have added the nails to the cross in the front of the sanctuary. With these nails, we are reminded of the great physical price Jesus paid for the redemption of our sins. Isaiah writes, with his wounds we are healed. The Psalmist writes, Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing. As we are in worship this morning, let us remember that all of these events that Christ endured on our behalf were real. That reality makes the message of the Gospel urgent and signicant to every person with whom we come in contact. Let us be faithful workers in the harvest eld. Don Let Dis Harves Pass. - Dr. Dan Sharp

St. Paul always greeted with the words, The peace of God be with you. This is an appropriate way to greet fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and so we say, The peace of the Lord be with you and respond, And also with you. We then pass this greeting of peace to one another. At the passing of the peace we should earnestly desire Gods peace upon each person we greet.
