Training Manager Operations Manager 1 Langton House, Lindum Business Park, Station Road, North Hykeham, LN6 3QX. From 20K - 25K depending on experience and qualifications.

Main Purpose of the Role To manage the learning and professional development of Home From Home Cares workforce, to ensure that staff gain and develop the skills they need to carry out their jobs effectively and to a high standard. To develop a comprehensive training programme and to deliver training directly and/or arrange for others to do so, to ensure that all staff have the understanding, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks. To ensure that through the delivery of a comprehensive training programme there is on-going and long-term improvement of employees skills so that they can fulfil their potential and contribute to the delivery of high standards of support. Main Responsibilities, Tasks and Duties To consult with operational Managers within the organisation and the HR Manager to identify core competencies and training/development needs of each home/service and the wider organisation To design, develop and evaluate an organisation wide training and development plan To implement the training and development plan To directly delivery of the following training: LDQ, including reviewing/assessing LDQ books Food hygiene Mental Capacity Act Infection Control Equality and diversity SCIP Breakaway

Also to deliver (and be trained if necessary):

To commission and co-ordinate the delivery of all other required training programmes both regular and one-off training required (this could include some direct training delivery dependent upon the skills and qualifications of the person appointed) To develop Induction Training and Staff Appraisal Systems To research and book any external training required To ensure the delivery of appropriate NVQ training for staff To develop and agree an annual training budget and manage training spend within this budget To indentify training resources to use both within training and informally within the homes/services To appoint and support Scip and Breakaway Instructors To complete all necessary training paperwork To maximise the use of HFHC training facilities and resources To undertake the appraisal of training effectiveness evaluating the success of both individual training and the overall training and development plan.
