PROFFESIONAL GOAL For the last 3 years I have been working towards a degree in kinesiology with the hopes of entering into the health field. Now I have realized that my true calling is for a career in medicine. Recognizing that my ability to obtain a higher education has come from my experiences in the military I hope to return to active duty making a career for myself within the medical community of the military. EDUCATION University of Wisconsin Milwaukee Major - Kinesiology RELATED EXPERIENCE Combat Lifsaver US Army Trained as a first responder to combat causalities in the absence of a medic. Primary focus on controlling bleeding, maintaining airways, and preventing shock. WORK EXPERIENCE Military Police Officer U.S. Army Reserves Sheboygan, WI It is the responsibility of the military police corps to function in dual roles. First, as enforcers of the rules and regulations which govern the military and secondly, to serve as a combat multiplier in a time of war. This requires not only routine training to complete a war time mission, but also the discipline to set the standard for adherence to a military lifestyle. Lead Caregiver TLC Homes Sheboygan, WI As a lead caregiver it was my responsibility to oversee and help direct the daily care provided to the residents of the assisted living facility. This was in addition to the normal duties of a resident caregiver. These included passing medications, following company protocol, providing hygienic care, preparing nutritious meals, and appropriately interacting with residents to help maximize quality of life. (Part-time 40 hours per pay period) Water Treatment Specialist U.S. Army Fort Lewis, WA Responsible for completion of daily required tasks to include operation and maintenance of equipment utilized to produce potablewater. Additionally, operator of various vehicles ranging in size from Humvee to Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT). LEADERSHIP ROLES Radio-Transmitter Operator (RTO) US Army While deployed to southern Afghanistan I belonged to HHC 402D BSB, a support battalion for 5th stryker brigade combat team. Our mission was to conduct Combat Logistics Patrols (CLP) moving supplies to different locations throughout the region. My job as a RTO was to ensure positive communications where maintained between convoy elements and command and control at the Tactical Operations Center (TOC). This was an essential component of completing the mission as the RTO is the sole means of transmitting situational awareness updates to convoys conducting operations. Personal Security Detachment (PSD) Driver US Army For the first several months of my deployment to Afghanistan I was selected as a member of the PSD for our battalion command team. My role on this team was as a driver of an up armored vehicle. As a driver I was solely responsible for ensuring that my vehicle was mission capable at all times in case a mission was delegated from higher.
