1. Course Description The economic environment of an economy is characterized by interacting among systems, firms, the Government and other market forces both domestic and international. Economic decisions in general and strategies in particular are moulded by the Economic Environment. Those external factors like the economic, political / regulator, social, technological and natural factors which make-up the opportunities for and threats to business and internal factors like resources. A thorough understanding of the Economic environment therefore is a pre-requisite for making any strategic decision. Indeed formulation of strategy is sometimes defined as establishing a proper firm environment. 2. Student Learning Outcomes (typically 3-5 bullet points)
